Cool Space Picture/Gif: Here is a picture of Sirius. Obviously, it is not a real picture, but an artist's amazing piece of art. Sirius is, as mentioned before, the brightest star in our sky. It is in the constellation Canis Major, and is a blue giant. This means that this enormous star shines a more bluish tint than most white-ish stars, though with the naked eye it usually looks like any other star. A small fun fact; many of the characters in the Harry Potter series were named after stars. To name just a few, Sirius Black, Bellatrix Lestrange, and Regulus.
