Journal Entry Day One
I can hardly bear to write . . . yesterday, I was viciously attacked by a leviathan while tracking an owl . . . my wings are very wounded. My left wing is visibly broken, but an unseen problem plagues my right wing, causing me great pain. My recovery will be anything but short, but I must persevere.

Journal Entry Day Three:
An infection is in my right wing. I discovered a gash beneath the feathers after waking up with a fever yesterday, but could do little but put some clean leaves over the wound. I stayed in my nest the entire day, hoping to get rid of the fever. Regretfully, the fever is still lingering today, but it is thankfully much more mild.

Backing out of contest; don't have enough time to finish.
