Describe their Bedroom: you walk into an old style Japanese bedroom as you slide the screen door to reveal a small koi pond with a stream running through from the outside. On one side, hangs traditional Japanese ink scroll paintings depictin the history of Sushi. As you step further in and look around, you also begin to notice scrolls of sushi recipies and the tradition of preparing them tucked away in small cubby holes in the wall above the Tatami mats. Though simple, this room speaks of a love for fish and Sushi.

Name: Shimi ~ A play on Sashimi, which is Sushi
Gender: Female
Sexuality & Them: Despite her guardians being the same gender, Shimi has always been heterosexual. Though this is often questioned by her peers due to her parents, she's never found herself attracted to other female plumes, and is extremely comfortable in it.


Describe their Bedroom: "I keep my bedroom extremely neat for one thing, there's never a single miss-placed item! I'd like to think of my bedroom a tribute to the sea and all of its magnificent creatures. As you can imagine it’s full of blues, and decorations that accentuate the oceanic theme! I also pride myself on my extensive collection of books and poetry; I mean you can never go wrong with knowledge right? My room is my own little space, not too large but it has everything that I need.”


Conversation:

“So you’re moving out? I knew this would happen one day, I’m happy for you.” I looked into my mother’s already watering eyes which mirrored my own and nodded. Yes I was finally moving out, having found the perfect house that was near my collage. I knew my mom was fighting back the tears as I explained to her, and I realized that through my own composed disposition I found myself choking back the water works. It was only a couple miles away and yet I was near sobbing. Deep-down I guess I’m still mommies little girl. *97*

About the Plushie: Onori, Shimi's plushie is a special friend to her she's had for the majority of her life. One evening as a child, her parents decided to treat Shimi to a sushi restaurant for good grades, and it was during this time one of the staff gifted Shimi the plushie. Many children would have forgotten something such as Onori after a couple of weeks, however it was this plushie that was her friend through scary nights, adversity in school and sparked her interest in sea life. To Shimi, Onori is her closest friend. *Used Extra*

Hobby: Sashimi in her spare time loves to go fishing. Living near a bay area, its an activity she grew up learning to do and has since taken a huge liking to it. Bringing Onori along on little fishing trips to get away from any stress is something Shimi does weekly.

Breaking Point: Shimi swung on a car tire swing attached to a tree branch. The day was unusually sunny, a contrast to the usual blue hued gloomy colored skies. Immediately, she noticed a large funnel cloud of air rotating towards her house.
Before any words could be screamed, her parents, onori and her book collect we're sucked into its fury. Her mouth was parted but nothing came out, and to her relief, the next moment she blinked open her eyes and she sat alone in her room her chest heaving and sweat forming.

Childhood: I sat in the school house as the teacher spoke. It was wonderful! I get to be here for hours a day, and I don't even have to ask a nice lady at a desk to read a book! Theres singing, and a nice lady who knows everything about everything tells us new things each day! The other kids give me funny looks when its bring your parent to school day, but I don't care! I have two groups of friends, and two homes! My home home, and my school home. And then my friends friends, and my paper friends.

Irritation: The sushi plume cannot eating in the company of someone who chews with their mouth open. It's a learned trait she got from her mother's, and its something she still has.


Goals for the Future: "One day, I want to find perfect hapiness. No, not like the ephemeral hapiness most usally get from time to time. I want to be able to sit down one day in my future and say I accomplished things, that I made my name note worthy, that I'm actually satysfied with what I did with my life. I want to say I would have accomplished those things by doing what I love such as traversing the seas, but life happens and things don't always work out perfectly. At the very least, I want to know I had an impact." *used extra*

Describe their Bedroom: Ben's bedroom is actually quite feminine. It's painted a lush pastel pink with large white flowers. The bed lays in the center, with sushi kitten pillows. The room also has a couple posters of kawaii things, like kawaii sushi, animals, and cherry blossoms with happy faces. A TV is placed at the end of the room.. A wii u is placed beside the tv and games are stacked. He has dressers and sidetables. Around his room are boxes stacked filled with all sorts of things. He has a wooden floor with a pastel green beanbag in the center.

Name: Sashimi - sliced or prepared raw fish
Gender: Male
Sexuality & Them: Sashimi. That plumerian. The one sitting over there-you see him, right? Long fur. Fluffy ears and tail. Him, he's bisexual. You think he used to be only into girls, but you know, he likes guys too. You think there's something wrong with that? Ah, well you, my friend, need a bit of a lesson in accepting others.
Describe their Bedroom: Adorning the beige wall is a clear, large black framed window. A dark brown wooden frame with a white comforter and golden designed pillows create the bed against the wall farthest from the door. This room is shaped oddly, like a deformed shape with six sides. A couch in the corner has three, small dark brown tables before it. Lamps and framed pictures of Japanese kanji brighten up the walls. A fan with leaf shaped blades spins overhead. A beige carpet lies over the polished wood floor in the center of the room. Hanging lanterns dangle from the ceiling.
Conversation: "Your handwriting's really neat!" the plumerian sitting next to me complimented.
I "dotted" one of my "i"'s with a little swirl pattern, using my black ink pen that glided smoothly across paper. "Oh! Thank you!" I smiled.
She smiled back. "That's a neat pen! Where'd ya get it?"
"Ah, my father gave it to me before he left for school. Would you like it?" I ask, offering it to her.
"Eh!? I couldn't take something that precious!" the plumerian looked shocked.
"You can have it! It's my way to forgive you for being so kind!" I laugh.
I hated father.
About the Plushie: Given to Sashimi by an old friend who moved away, Noku the octopus is something that Sashimi holds close to his heart. Noku's pink fabric is very fluffy and the fibers are nice and long. Sashimi won't admit it, but he sleeps with Noku every night.
Hobby: Sashimi kept his paw steady as he dragged the specially shaped brush across the page, finishing a single Japanese kanji. He set the brush back into the ink, admiring his work as he sat back. Sashimi loves the art of Shodo, or Japanese calligraphy.
How they show Affection:
Kiku: (Looking sad.)
Sashimi: You okay? You don't look as cheerful as you do. Where's your flower?
Kiku: (Looks away.) I don't know. I lost it, and can't find it.
Sashimi: (Determined attitude.) I'm not stopping at anything until I find that flower!
Kiku: (Smiles, laughs.) You're the best, Sashimi!
One Quirk: A quirk of Sashimi's is that he tends to stare at someone's facial features for some time. He memorizes the planes and curves of others faces so that it becomes a natural feeling when he looks at them. It scares some people, and he doesn't know why he does it.
Breaking Point: Being left alone. When he was in school, Sashimi hated being left sitting alone because of events that occurred during his childhood. He has gotten over the event, thankfully, as he didn't realize that his father killed his mother. He always would cry when alone, and others would laugh.
Childhood: "Why did they take daddy away?" I suddenly asked, feeling left behind. My fluffy tail drooped.
Our maid walked towards me, slinking her arms around my dainty form.
"I don't know, Sashimi..." she sighed in a slightly annoyed voice. "I have to leave now." she sighed, unwrapping her arms and walking off, taking her luggage along.
I heard the door slam. My eyes filled with tears. Solitude. Completely and utterly alone.
Silence deafened me. I shook. I paced.
I wailed loudly, covering my ears.
"MAKE IT STOP!! PLEASE!!" I screamed. I collapsed in a heap.
My life of solitude began.
Irritation: He can't stand the sounds connected to his childhood. Sashimi was left alone as a child, and the silence in his parents' home had driven him mad. He hates the sound of doors slamming, as the last person who was somehow related to his family was associated with this noise.
Goals for the Future: Sashimi would love to find his old friend Kiku again. He misses her dearly, and would love to find her randomly on the streets one day. He wonders what her life has become like, and if she remembers him. He wonders if she ever thinks about him.

I was walking with my friend,
Worms lying in puddles, dead.

She turned to me and smiled sadly
I didn't know what was to come,
Her flower dangled from her hair,
As red as a Japanese plum.


"I'm moving," she sighed sadly,
Then set her backpack down,
"Why?" I sighed, biting my lip.
I couldn't help but frown.

She didn't reply and closed her eyes,
Her hair whipping in the wind,
I looked away and sighed,
My happiness thinned and thinned.

"I want to say, I've always loved you,
And remember me just the same.
And when you're sad, if you need me,
Just go ahead and say my name."

That day came and went,
And I remember it because
She gave me a little plush octopus,
And I named him Noku as I held him in my paws.
