How did hey spend this valentines day?:
Thane doesn't care for Valentine's Day, believing that it is silly that one random day should be treated any differently from the next. If he was in a romantic relationship, he reasons that he should be able to dote on them any day he wanted and treat them well all year around, not just on one way day because the calendar said to. Of course, Thane is horrible when it comes to relationships. He is antisocial and doesn't know how to deal with others, so he's never been able to form a romantic relationship, let alone even a close friendship.
The secondary personality that shares the same body, Veronica, however, is something of a social butterfly. When Thane was bent on just going about the day as any other day, she protested vigorously. While she is normally dormant and not able to take over their shared body that often, his wasting away the day was something she couldn't stand for. Thus, Veronica took over, and took it upon herself to make special treats and pick any flowers she could find, randomly dropping off the gifts on strangers' doorsteps in order to brighten others' days, including Thane. When his personality took back over, he was greeted with a basket of goodies. Thane is only vaguely aware of Veronica's existence, while she knows him all too well. Even if someone doesn't have a romantic Valentine, she thought it important to let others know that they are still loved. That someone, even if they are complete strangers, cares about them in this world.
