Why do they hate Valentines Day?:
Vestirus got sick of people offering her love, and love in general. Love to her is a silly word, she says; "It's a thing of imagination, psychological, not actually real, foolish people." She's mature, and never saw a point in such a holiday. In fact, she believes that if two people want to have feelings for each other, to simple show it throughout the relationship, not have a day dedicated to it.

calypso has fallen in love many times, but none of it has been requited. this has not made her bitter and resentful, hateful of love. she merely longs ever more strongly for someone to love who loves her. her experiences have made her much more cautious with her heart, and have caused her to strongly value love. she thinks valentine's day disrespects love, reducing it to a cheap, material holiday that is full of empty words and hollow gifts. she believes love is greater than that, that you love with your soul, not your heart and your mind.

Why do they hate Valentines Day?: Why does Zestion hate Valentines day? Because it's so hard to find the perfect gifts for his friends. Well, it should be easy, it's all chocolates and roses ~ it's just mostly the flowers. He tends to fret over the perfect flower fitting best to his friend's colors and personality. Zestion doesn't have a special someone to spend the day with, so his friends get treats because well - heck it's Valentines Day and his friends deserve some kind of gift one way or another. Evangeline hates Valentines Day because it terrifies her. Genophobia, philophobia, it's really a mix. Evangeline is afraid of intimacy, romance, even just kissing or holding hands freaks her out. She can't stand the idea of being close with someone and Valentines Day is the day she spends her time curled up in her room, stuffing her face with ice cream, filled with defensive anger and overpowered by immense stress. Any attempts at enjoying this holiday have ended horribly and Evangeline just ends up a mess. She's embarrassed and won't seek help for it, as she is humiliated by the fact she is so scared of something that everyone else finds so pleasant. Her hate is derived from fear, making her difficult to deal with the week prior, and week after the holiday. The day of the holiday, she is unreachable and always spends alone.

why do they hate Valentines Day?|| While Tea's problem with valentines day is not the fact that he cannot find himself a valentine; since valentines day is not only about having an intimate relationship but caring for most anyone. His disdain for the holiday is the sorrowful memories that it brings with it. It is true that he has had joyful memories as well, but none of them amount to the sadness he feels as this holiday draws near. He has lost much throughout the years on this holiday; friends abandoning him for their lovers, the loss of his childhood pet, and many past girlfriends (most of whom he doesn't even remember their names). its not that valentines day is horrible or anything i just dont think its very fair for some. for i used to always wait to see if somebody would ask me to be their valentine, but i kept waiting and waiting and waiting, and nobody would ever ask me. so i feel real bad for all the paras who dont get valentines on valentines day. now i just completely stopped caring about it i no longer wait and break my heart over it when nobody asks me. i just dont celebrate it at all, maybe one day i will find a para who likes me and i might like the holiday again but until that day valentines is not fun for me.
