The rain runs in rivulets,
Streaking down, down, down,
Nevertheless, what time forgets,
Is that you make all good things drown.
Oh, what I would give to get my childhood back,
To relive my fear-stricken years unafraid,
Because all would fade to black,
And splashingly, sickeningly, inwards my body swayed.
So, you see, water is fierce and frightening,
A deep guttural groan,
Awaiting deep beneath the Earth,
And yet for some it provides great mirth,
