General Info
Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.

Name: Asteros (Derived from the word asteroskoni - stardust in greek)

Likes: - Imagine the glow of the moon, gently highlighting of an uninhabited landscape. It bears the most beautiful trees that grow into canopies with strangling vines raging a war it will slowly win over time. The most elegant meadow of peace and beauty with the hoof beats of a single basilisk. This is where Asteros likes to bask in the moonlight and gaze upon the stars. A place of which she watches the world become beautiful again.
- a thousand noises of fear and strain of animals escaping the Chrysaora gaze. Hiding up trees and digging themselves holes to hide from the beast known as Asteros. Though a darkness over the event, Asteros is cheerful as she gallivants the forest chasing innocent creatures out of their hiding places.
- The taste of bitter darkness, a parasite consumed... Asteros' job is never complete. Feeding on the negativity produced by such creatures, she enjoys destroying the "draconic" creatures who devour happiness.
- Adventuring across a broad landscape, in the glimmering moonlight she loves. A sprinkle of stardust across unknown land where she can become lost in her own mind. A happy escape from a drowning reality.
- Bathing in a glorious shimmer of light, with the cool tender touch of water wading its way around and through her coat. A swim in a creek is a splendid feeling, especially when darkness takes hold.
Dislikes: - The fearless beings in which call themselves humans. Whom dislike and punish the Chrysaora, even though they are beautiful creatures, there are some who have threatened Asteros and have made an enemy for life.
- Though a happiness rages over this Basilisk, a depression haunts her as well. Like a darkness has attached itself over her and drowns her mind in a torturous manner.

When he is not roaming with the herd or on the hunt Waitomo loves to explore the caves for hours in solitude. As he goes he whinnies to himself every once in a while and listens to the echoes bounce off the cave walls. This Basilisk loves oddities. Anything that seems unusual or out of place will catch his eye. Small seemingly mundane things can enchant and transfix him. He is fascinated by all things that shine or glow, especially miraculous organisms of bioluminescence like glowworms and fungi (I'm assuming they have these in Lucent, I hope that's okay.) When this usually placid stallion stumbles upon something like this in his travels he chirps and croons and prances about in place like an excited colt. Waitomo loves light and the tricks it can play on the cave walls when refracted or twisted in the right ways. He can spend hours mesmerized simply staring at the way light moves in water.
Dislikes:
Waitomo is a fairly easy-going creature and not much seems to rattle him, when he dislikes something he will usually simply avoid or ignore it which can sometimes make him appear aloof or eccentric. He has little interest in social maneuverings or herd hierarchy. He hates quarrels over things he finds inconsequential and thus refuses to participate. Shrill high pitched noises annoy him to no end and he will pin his ears back and shake his head if he is subjected to them. If he lived in the world of humans he would hate small talk.

- He has a fondness over foals due to them reminding him so much of himself in their innocence and fragility.

- Down likes to have others around him at all times, for him life is not as enjoyable if you don't have someone to share it with whether they are a mate or just someone you met once.
