why are her eyes closed?;

Freya suffers a condition called Mydriasis,
which is the dilation of pupils with a non-physiological cause.
A mydriatic pupil will remain dilated even in a bright light.
This causes her to be extremely sensitive to normal daytime environments,
and she has to keep her eyes closed all the time.
Freya easily gets Photokeratitis due to her eyes,
so she often has to stay inside, as keeping them closed sometimes doesn't cut it.
It's not anything whimsical or like in a fairy tale,
but Freya, ever the optimist, often pretends that she's a princess
cursed with a lack of sight.
She occasionally wears cute sleep masks
when her condition is acting up or when in an exceptionally bright place.

The reason is that she doesn't have really have eyes, she was born without functioning ones. When she wall little people always teased her because she didn't have purples. So one day she decided that it would be best if she didn't open her eye so people couldn't bully her.

"Out of all the other questions that could have been asked.."
You hear the Plumerian mutter as you blink, a bit baffled and curious to what Marry meant.

As you patiently wait with a curious expression, you notice the Plumerian's eyes slowly open
up as if awakening for the first time. Once they are fully-open, you stare with amazement as
you gasp lightly.

Before you manage to say anything, Marry-with her white-and-pink eyes-sighs quietly, then
closes her eyes again, rather immediately.

"I want to keep this short, so don't interrupt me."

⌦ No, Marry doesn't freeze things or turns stuff into stone when she makes eye-contact
with something/one. We already have Medusa for turning things into stone..er, uh ahem..

Marry keeps her eyes closed because she doesn't want to draw attention to herself due to
her unusual, bi-colored eyes. Another reason is that she hates to making eye-contact with
others, it just makes her feel really nervous and start stuttering a lot. However, she has a
feeling that her eyes have some sort of powers-no, not freezing and all that stuff. She has
speculated that her left eye [ the white one ] can see through objects [ e.g. see the items in
a safe ] and that her right eye [ the light pink one ] can look through someone's mind as if
it were a picture book. However, when both of her eyes are open, Marry can look around like
a normal Plumerian. But she still prefers keeping them closed for the sake of her solitude.

Well she is of course dreaming of snow. Mary didn't have a white Christmas but since it is still winter she still wishes, still hopes that it will snow. She is picturing the place around her covered in a blanket of white, white snow and all-around her small snowflakes fall gracefully to the floor. She is content with herself, and content with her dreaming.

why are her eyes closed?:
As a child Elena was a highly curious and eager plumerian, she as always trying to do the most unique and unusual things with her friends, causing her to get into mischief a lot. One winter night her and her friends stumbled along some fireworks and thought that they would look beautiful if they went off on this snowy winter night. The group of plumerians set many fireworks off at once, and once Elena had lit the fuse to hers she ran away from it so she could avoid it launching in the air unknowing that the other fireworks were going off where she was running. She could not see through the thick layers of snow in the air and was hit in her left eye with the small firework, causing her to become blind and also causing her friends to get hurt as well when they tried to save her. After the incident Elena couldn't even look at herself in the mirror without having to remember the pain that she caused to her friends and herself, she decided from then on that she would keep her eyes shut in the fear that others would ask her about it and would remind of her of the incident that happened that winter. With her eyes shut, she feels like the memory slowly drifts away and she can find peace in her mind when others aren't able to remind her of it.

she convinced herself that if she opened her eyes, she would go blind, so she keeps them shut in fear.
she never realized that keeping her eyes shut blinds her more than opening them.

why are her eyes closed?;I remember that day like yesterday. My father, a very busy and stressed plumerian, had just came home. Angrily, he screamed at me. I had forgotten to take care of the garden. He picked up a shard of glass and threw it at me. I had no choice but to close my eyes and hope for the best. I couldnt see. "My eyes!" I shrieked, covering them with my paws. I ran out of the house, heading for the doctor. She told me my eyes couldnt be saved. From then on, I kept my eyes shut. No one could know that behind my eye lids were empty sockets.
