Keakota #42

Postby eleutheromania » Fri Dec 26, 2014 5:26 am

Uh oh, something happened to this girl when she was a pup, wonder what? Her left eye is blind because of this. To win her, tell me how she got the scar and how she deal with her being half-blind.

How she got her scars?: Brandy was just a few hours old when a predator got into the nest where she was asleep. Before the rest of the pack could fight it off, it had tried to take her, and in the process, it had clawed her face and badly scarred her, blinding her in her left eye.
How she deal with her half-blindness: Brandy never had to adjust to her blind eye because it happened when she was just a baby. she grew up with it and she hasn't let it slow her down any. She does everything that the other Kotas do but she does have to be more aware of what is happening on her left side so she doesn't run into anything, or trip and fall. When she's with other Kotas, she always tries to keep another on that side as a precaution. Most of the time, the rest of the pack are happy to help by watching that side for her. It's not an issue when she's being ridden because she trusts her rider to keep her from injuring herself.

How she got her scars?:
Wind Dancer was out exploring one day. She wandered a little too far from her mother whilst exploring and came upon a single wolf. Wind Dancer, never having seen a wolf in person, eagerly raced towards the large beast, whom was infected with rabies. It barked several sharp, baritone warnings at her. But the Kea didn't pay heed to this. As she reached the canine, it growled and snarled, revealing several sharp rows of rotted teeth. Large ropes of slobber hung from its gaping jowls; its mouth reeked of infection and rot.
It advanced upon Wind Dancer, slashing her only across the eye. The wolf's sharp claws were filthy; they infected her eye, but it still remains. The infection destroyed her eye's ability to see. But that didn't stop Wind Dancer.
How she deal with her half-blindness: Wind Dancer dealt with her blindess by pretending she was only wearing an eye patch; it made things fun and easier to learn. She first taught herself to walk, then trot, lope, and finally, gallop. She still pretends she's wearing an eyepatsh because it makes life easier. Wind Dancer refused to let her bind eye stop her; many Keakotas still say she's one of the most wild and rambunctious Keakotas they know.

Name: Meg

Age: 5 years
Height: 16.1hh
Rarity: Uncommon
Markings: Reverse, Dapples
Genotype: SS
How she got her scars?: Meg's scars came to her by no fault of her own. Her father, the herd leader, was nothing nice. He always saw faults in Meg, nothing more. And for every mistake that she made, she would get a solid hoof to the face. After many attacks and the constant reopening of her wounds, the scars began to form as a constant reminder of all of her faults.
How she deal with her half-blindness: Meg shows no weakness, even with her blindness. She has developed a hard exterior to make up for her past. To ask about her blindness or her scars is a deadly move, as she does not even tolerate a simple glance at her eye.

Congrats, love how you used some of the Keakota terms like Kotas. ^^
I'll remove the sign and bg after I get some sleep
