General Info

Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.

This Chrysaora seems to have developed glowing sections in it's mane and tail through some sort of evolutionary blip. Tell me about one time his special hair got him/her in trouble (or helped him/her out). After you choose one, draw a accompanying picture showing the chrysaora's expression during that event. Story: One day Amethyst was wandering close to a human village. She didn't know that this wasn't an ordinary human village. It was a scientific laboratory. The scientists studied the creatures on the planet. She saw huge metal contraptions with big circle things attached to the bottom (trucks) zoom past her. But one of the metal contraptions had a metal thing (horse trailer) attached on the back. And inside that metal thing were two huge Chrysaroa Basilisks. They were tied up and blindfolded so that they could not paralyze any of the scientists. Amethyst realized that she needed to help them. She ran out in front of the metal contraption (truck w/ trailer) and caused it to come to a screeching halt. Out jumped two strong scientists and one had a gun and the other had ropes and a blindfold. The scientists observed her and mumbled words to each other. Their faces suddenly turned pale. For they thought that Amethyst's powers were stronger because her mane and tail contained the sacred color white. They immediately called for backup. Amethyst was frightened. She didn't know what to do. Suddenly, ten trucks surrounded her. Tons of men hopped out. All holding either a gun or ropes. A flying thing (helicopter) flew over head. It dropped a heavy net on her and then the men charged at her. One man put a halter on her before they blindfolded her and she paralyzed him instantly. They then blindfolded her and tied her up. She then heard a banging noise coming from the metal thing (the trailer) and the two captive Chrysaroas broke their ropes and blindfolds and charged at the scientists. The men immediately ran back to their trucks and forgot about Amethyst. Amethyst struggled with the ropes and net. The two other Chrysaroas helped her get untangled and soon they were on their way back to the forest. Never again would she approach that human village.

Don't mind the white stripe on the right side of her neck. It was a hair on my scanner :S This was the first time that I have ever done blue roan... Hope it turned out alright!
