The lovely lad is known as Tate. He chose this name for himself, as his 'owner' gave him a female name. Tate's real name is Tabitha.
nickname(s);
The only nickname Tate has is Tabby. He feels it is kind of ironic, with his feline features and all, but Tabby actually came from his real name, Tabitha. Tate does not mind it if others call him Tabby. He actually likes it when people call him by his nickname.
gender;
Tate was made biologically female, but is transgender male. He prefers the male pronouns.
personality;
As an ambivert, Tate has two distinct personalities he tends to switch into almost arbitrarily. One being that of the extrovert:a joker who enjoys taking part in pranks, a master at generating witticisms and sarcastic remarks. he tends to be quick-witted and argumentative. he can be charming, abrasive, or persuasive depending on his choice of words and behavior.
In this state, Tate is very easy-going, to the point where he may seem to be careless. He can always have a good time, whether he is alone, with Milo, or with someone else. Everyday is an adventure to him. He has hurt himself on many occasions, resulting in cracks he has covered with band aids. There has never been a time when he felt uncomfortable when people laughed at him for being silly. In fact, he loves making people laugh and being the center of attention. Tate can be a bit harsh with his jokes though. Sometimes he will take them a bit too far or say something rudely sarcastic to get a good laugh. However, as soon as he has realized his mistake, he will apologize.
There is another side of him is that of the introvert. In this side, Tate can be difficult to read. He may seem grumpy or maybe calm, but know that the wheels in his head are always turning. he puts her energy towards a more intellectual approach in this state. he is curious and investigative, always needing to learn or figure something out.
In both states, he is highly intelligent, intuitive, and deeply curious.
Tate's main trait is one he is very open about. He is an equalist, meaning he believes everyone deserves to be treated equal, no matter their color, gender, or sexuality.
habits/quirks;
Tate enjoys watching movies on streaming sites (such as Netflix and Amazon Prime) and critiquing them on his blog. He is a complete Tumblr obsessed doll and has another blog simply dedicated to his many fandoms.
The only video game Tate will play is Super Mario Bros, and that is because Milo likes to watch him play.
Tate actually does not like water or swimming at all, because of his feline traits. He will tolerate a shower. He also really likes the sound and look of rain.

Tate's best friend and Shadow is called Milo.
nickname(s);
Milo does not have any nicknames, besides the occasional 'pet' name Tate will give them (such as Star or Nosey), but it is not an actual nickname and is used rarely.
gender;
Coming from a toy with no set gender, Milo is agender. Milo prefers to be called by their name or if you must use pronouns, use the they/them pronouns.
personality;
Milo has more of a introverted personality. They can have fun sometimes, but they know when to calm down and get their head out of the clouds. This helps balance the doll and shadow out. While Tate likes to have fun and go on adventures, Milo likes to stay home and help Tate critique movies. Milo is able to bring Tate out of the clouds and settle down when needed, and in turn, Tate is capable of pushing Milo's limit and showing them trying something new and having some fun is a great thing to do.
toy story;
Before Milo became a Shadow and gave Tate life, they were a Super Mario yellow star plush. They were given to a young boy, who adored Mario, and they often laid on the bed with him at night. Then he put them on a shelf. That was okay, for he still touched them occasionally and told his friends about the plush toy. As the boy got older, however, he spoke of them less and less and rarely even looked at them. One day he was cleaning off the shelf and came across the star. With a shrug, he threw it on the ground and his Pomeranian used them as a chew toy.
They got stuck under the couch for a long time and in that time, the Shadow was made. They roamed alone for many months, the glowing white star on their chest a constant reminder of their loneliness. During their travel through the boy's younger sister's room, they came across a doll thrown under the bed. It's ears and tail made the Shadow curious and they felt a connection with the doll.
Maybe if was it's curious shape. Or possibly that the Shadow knew what it was like to get tossed aside and forgotten. Whatever it was, the Shadow could not ignore. So they brought the doll to life. Shortly after they bonded, Tate named the Shadow Milo. original art piece here. It was drawn by lillylove90 and she allowed me to trace her lines over to digital, make some edits, and color it.
