monte's personality:
monte is not super out-going, but he is definitely not a recluse either.
monte aims to be the best friend he can be, but sometimes he has a hard time doing so. he is the sweetest guy you'll meet, always smiling and having a good time with whatever he is doing. it's not often he comes across people he doesn't like, and even when he is around those he isn't fond of, he is still as polite and professional as he can be.
monte is usually extremely childish, and he view that as a fault but he can't really help it. because he sees childish behavior as a personal fault, he has difficulty maintaining a high self-esteem. echo is good about keeping monte in high spirits for the most part though, so monte doesn't struggle with any depression or other serious health problems. monte likes food a lot, and thanksgiving is probably his favorite holiday because it's such a cheerful day, and there is a heck ton of food.
monte loves hanging out and having deep conversations with close friends. he also enjoys going to concerts, and just being around good vibes. some of his favorite hobbies are exploration, listening to new bands, watching the night sky, learning new things, bowling, mini-golfing, riding his bike, and building his collections. monte's favorite time of day is early morning, where he's able to watch the sunrise and feel at peace before the waking of the world.

echo's personality:
echo is a bit bossy and quite talkative. he isn't bossy in a bad way, but more like a protective parent. echo keeps a good watch on his doll, and he and monte do a lot of fun things together. echo likes cuddling up next to monte after a long day, especially after a nice meal.

Nathaniel used to be a very joyful but grew ill-tempered. His shadow Barry is always trying to get him in a good mood and just a little more open with his feelings. He was more of a keeping to himself kind of guy. He was thought of as shy or afraid by others, but he just didn't know how to share his feelings. Because of this he was usually picked on and bullied by stronger kids, but he didn't care so he never really stood up for himself. He was a very easygoing boy so he didn't care about any violence. Nathaniel has made a few friends that didn't care what others thought about him, which made him happy on the inside. He has always been very quiet so you could never really tell what was on his mind. He's usually pretty much just lost in his own little world. The only time you can hear him speak is when he is whispering something to Barry. Nathaniel has always had a love for stars. He thought of them as a gift. He just adores how they seem to light up the night sky. Sometimes he even sneaks out at night just to see stars fill up the night sky then later on falls asleep under the starry sky. Another one of Nathaniel's traits is that he was very curious. Wherever he went he would wonder, what is this?, spending minutes just studying whatever the item was. To others it may not seem like it but to the one's he cares for Nathaniel is very caring, lovable, and cheerful boy once he starts to open up to you.

Barry is almost like a polar opposite of Nathaniel. The only thing they seem to have in common is their love for stars. He is a young pomeranian who has always been very talkative. It used to annoy Nathaniel but then got used to it. He has a very clumsy and forgetful personality, always losing things when he needs them most. Barry is very protective of Nathaniel and just wants the best for him. Barry is always offering to give Nathaniel help but he responds saying that he doesn't need any. It might not seem like it but Barry is one of Nathaniels closest friends. He is usually the one telling Nathaniel to stand up for himself more often. Barry has always been right there whenever he needed it the most. Barry is very happy Nathaniel was there to form a contract with him.




➽ ｓｔｏｒｙ:
Nathaniel was given to a young girl from her mother as a gift along with a star necklace. She brought Nathaniel wherever she went even if she wasn't supposed to, she still found a way. She didn't care if she ever got in trouble, as long as he was with her. Nathaniel has always had a love for stars. He isn't sure why but all he remembers is going outside every night with his owner just looking up at the stars. He always believed that they were a gift made just for him. As the girl grew older, she also started growing apart from Nathaniel. She wouldn't go out to see the stars as much as she used to, and would no longer bring him along with her. One day while staring up at the stars one last time, she forgot all about him, it was the last time he ever got to see the stars. Days passed and the girls mother notices him so she decides to put him in the attic. Her mother does a little more cleaning and asks her daughter if there is anything she no longer wants. One thing she mentions is the star necklace. They were left all alone in an attic forgotten. One day Nathaniel discovered the star necklace. That necklace turned into what is now Barry, forming a contract with him. Barry was there when Nathaniel needed it, he helped him get through the tough times he was having. Nathaniel being thankful for Barry saying that he was "his own little star, always by his side."

ＷＨＯ ＡＭ Ｉ?
hello! i am shadows., a current non owner! although i'd like the main
focus to be on butter, i feel the creator should know a little about the
adopter too! one thing to note, is i kinda based butter off me, i am a
total computer hog, and well, not all that proud of it. i spend probably
waaaayy too much time on the computer. i am an artist, and i love to
draw! i never got around to doing art myself because of school, afterschool
activities, things like that, but if i do win this beauty i promise to take
good care of him and draw so much art of him! long story short, butter
is basically a mirror image of me, with a few changes here and there.
i want to wish everyone else good luck, i saw some really cool concepts
and stuff! also, sorry i made my forum a big wall of text, i wanted to
add as much as i could without going overboard but i couldn't help
myself, there was so much i wanted to put and so much that i had to cut

ＷＨＯ ＩＳ ＨＥ?
meet brett, or more commonly known as butter. butter changed his name because he felt too
many people expected something more of him with the name he had before. brett... sounds
like a name of an athletic kid, maybe a football player? that wasn't him. nowhere near it, in
fact, it was probably miles off. he changed his name to something that he could enjoy, that
fit him and only him. butter. it fit right in with his shadows name, which he named bread. it
was something cute and he loved it.
ＷＨＡＴ ＤＯＥＳ ＨＥ ＬＯＯＫ ＬＩＫＥ?
butter is a very small doll, making very fragile and easily broken. this is actually one of the
reasons butter stopped going outside, he was often bullied and picked on, coming home with
bruises and cuts every day. butter is quite the skinny person, which is a little surprising
considering her spends almost all of his time eating junk food and going online. although some
rumors may suggest he is anorexic, bread is making sure he is eating properly and enough.
butter wears a lot of baggy or large clothing items to cover up his skinniness, for that would
make him an even easier target than he already is.
ＷＨＡＴ ＤＯＥＳ ＨＥ ＳＯＵＮＤ ＬＩＫＥ?
although butter is a horrible public speaker, he has an interesting way of talking. mainly due
to websites like tumblr, butter speaks with a lot of sarcasm, making sarcastic remarks left
and right about the silliest of things. if he has something to say, he has a tendency to interrupt
the person who's speaking to say what he wants to say before he looses it, for his memory isn't
too sharp. butter has no real accent, though a hint of british can be heard from time to time.
other than that, butter can speak normally and fluently with no real stuttering or other speech
problems.
ＷＨＡＴ'Ｓ ＨＥ ＬＩＫＥ?
ｉｎｄｏｏｒ ｃａｔ
butter is what you might call an 'indoor-sy person'. he is rarely outside and prefers to spend his
time on his computer, most drawing or blogging. he is home schooled by his shadow, bread, who
does his best to keep butter educated and healthy at the same time. due to his hate of the
outdoor world, butter likes to keep his shades shut and laptops on. he feels the internet can take
him away from his problems. the internet basically saved him from going into depression, so you
can;t really blame the guy for hating the rest of the world. it's a pretty cruel place.
ｄｅｐｅｎｄｅｎｔ
butter is a dependent doll, he relies on others for help, and it's pretty obvious. he's pretty clumsy,
easily distracted and tends to screw up a lot when left alone for too long. he can get hurt easily
due to his naturally fragile body, and needs another person [ or shadow ] to help him around. for
butter, bread is the shadow to turn to. bread is always there for him, no matter what and will
always rely on him over anyone else.
ｃａｒｅｆｒｅｅ
but then again, maybe butter is a little too dependent on bread. he often times lets his 'crazy' side
of him take over for a little bit, expecting bread to be there to catch and correct his mistakes, but
then again, bread isn't the sharpest tool in the shed either. this now leads to butter doing mindless
things and somehow ending up with an apartment of bubbles because he put too much soap, or
maybe ending up with a house on fire because he turned his entire apartment into a blanket fort
and accidentally knocking over a candle, nearly burning down the entire apartment building
[ yes this really happened and butter had his computer taken away from him for a month and a half ].
ｊｕｄｇｍｅｎｔａｌ
this one is more of a bad habit, but he's done it so much it's practically become a part of him. butter
judges people whether he likes it or not. he's constantly making good or bad remarks in his head about
what he sees on the outside, not on the inside. although he knows he shouldn't be doing this, he can't
help it! it's so easy and quite fun to just judge people and criticize. bread considers this the worst part
about butter.
ｌａｚｙ
with every blogger, comes the laziness. mindless hours of just sitting around has led to butter
becoming used to bread being the "housewife" as he likes to tease bread. bread does most of the
work; the cooking, the cleaning, the teaching, basically anything you can think up is all pushed onto
bread. with bread doing everything, laziness was soon to be expected, and here it is.
ｃｒｅａｔｉｖｅ
this comes naturally to butter, for he is an artist and his mind is everywhere. his mind can be
bursting with ideas at almost every given moment on any given day. due to this, butter will
often day dream or stare off into the distance thinking about a design or drawing. butter is
easily inspired as well, causing hundreds of sketchbooks to be filled, thousands of pencils
and colored pencils broken or sharpened to their limits, countless markers drying out, butter's
house may as well be an art studio.
ｓｈｙ
it's pretty expected, most bloggers or people who spend most of their time on the internet is.
he's not good around other people except for people he's gotten to know well. as mentioned
before, he is a terrible speaker and can barely get a sentence out without having to repeat
it ten times due to him being so quiet. this is the least noticeable of his wacky personality.
ＲＥＬＡＴＩＯＮＳＨＩＰＳ?
since butter is such an indoor-sy person, the only person he's really developed a friendship
with is bread.
butter to bread --
butter depends on bread more than anyone else. bread is almost like a parent, but so much more.
if anything, bread is like an angel that's saved his life countless times before. butter is grateful to
bread and tries his best to keep up with the rest of the world, always keeping bread at his side. if
bread ever disappeared, butter would be lost in a world where nobody knew who he was.

butter is quite the nuisance, constantly making sarcastic remarks, easily distracted, clumsy, can't
stand up for himself, bread just ends up doing all the work while he sits in the corner drawing and
making a mess that bread will have to clean up. bread is quite annoyed with butter, but he does his
job, understand he is here to help butter along in life. bread understands butter the most, and seeing
him smile is honestly the greatest thing he's ever seen.
