Favorite thing about Halloween:
It's hard to put it into words-- Jaquelin's best answer would just be 'Halloween is my favorite part of Halloween!' It's just a day after her birthday, so when she was young, the festivities would often be combined into two days of sugar-crazed fun, costumes, and friends that she still remembers fondly. Even if she's not quite as festive any more (see below), she still pulls together a nice costume every year and go for a walk at night, just enjoying the sounds of crackling leaves and chilly winds that get a smile out of her, no matter how down she might have been before. It's a night that feels truly magical, unlike any other night out of the year, and she tries to capture as much of the joy it inspires to keep her going for the next year.

Least favorite thing about Halloween:
Being an adult on Halloween. Jack has come to terms with the fact that she's 'too old' to trick-or-treat (though she personally does hand out candy to anyone who shows up at her door, regardless of age or costume-- Halloween's a night for fun after all, and sometimes folks just don't have the time to pull stuff together), but... well, what else is there?! She isn't big on partying (and have you seen what most people wear to those? No thank you!), she's too chicken for haunted houses, and almost every event she finds that sounds interesting has an age limit she's several years above. The past few Halloweens have seen Jaquelin curled up watching some movies between handing out candy, but she dearly hopes that maybe, someday, she can find others her age who just want to make some awesome costumes, give and get some treats, and just have a fun night together, rather than her just feel all alone on what should be the best night of the year.

Favorite thing about Halloween ;; Originally from the Netherlands, he didn't really know much about this holiday. But now he understands the basics, aka, give things to people that come at his door. His favorite thing about Halloween actually ties into this, and that was his very first one. He very clearly didn't know what was going on. All Ludo'd been doing was watching movies and now random strangers were at his door looking to extort him. So, glancing around, he vaguely began to understand from the gestures of his neighbors that he had to appease the children. So tentatively, he gave them each a handful of chips and very slowly closed the door. He looks back on that with fondness and awkward tears. He's learned since to buy candy.

Least favorite thing about Halloween ;; Ludo has a way with cats and is sometimes called the cat whisperer because of his ability to coax them. Given that Halloween isn't exactly the best time for black cats, as people are relatively superstitious, he likes to hoard strays he sees wandering around, keeping them in his home until the holiday is over. Ludo dislikes the fact that black cats are detested during this time of year.

Favorite thing about Halloween;; As an aspiring literary genius and freelance author, Evita loves the all of the myths and fragments of inspiration dispersed throughout the folklore of Halloween. Evita's never exactly had interests like normal people do. All the things considered taboo or weird (y'know... murder, death, gore) have always captured her interest, and inspired her to weave her incredible stories.
Least favorite thing about Hallowenn;; Evita's always felt awkward and uncomfortable going about to stranger's houses and asking for candy. It's too close to begging for her taste, and she usually ends up sending her candy to the juvenile jail, since they can't trick-or-treat for themselves.

    Name: Thea

    Gender: Female

Favorite thing about Halloween: Thea is a little dentist who loves to poke and prode (and hopefully) fix other's teeth. So she loves it when others eat lots of candy on Halloween and get yucky teeth, because then, it gives her a chance to look at them

Least favorite thing about Halloween: Pumpkins. Why? Because Thea came from a poor family, and food is very important to her. Wasting a good pumpkin skin to scare others? For Thea, that is just not on! xD

My name is t o o t h l e s s ;
But you are free to call me Toot or Toothy.
I am a proud owner of one Kiamara so far and I am trying out for my second!
Name:
"Aye? Well, I have borne many names. However ... I prefer to be known as Taïsha. This is pronounced 'Tay-EE-shah' for those of you who cant read."
Gender:
"Female, of course. I have never been anything else."
Favourite thing about Halloween:
Image
Telling ghost stories around the campfire.
"I have always had a loathing for little kids on Halloween; and telling ghost stories seems to be the perfect way to scare them away. I take great enjoyment in Halloween, when they come to trick or treat,
I will tell them a story, a new one every year, and scare their paws off.
I actually enjoy creating stories, and even more so when they run off
shrieking to their parents. This way I have gained the title "Witch" and
my profession throughout the village is "Storytelling".
I enjoy other's suffering; many find that sadistic, but I find it fun."
Least favourite thing about Halloween:
Image
Trick or Treating.
"As you may have gathered, I despise young children -- up until the
age of 18. Even then sometimes I loath them; and I am a regular
victim of trick or treating.
Parents tell their kids to stay away from number 13, Hallow's Street;
and yet they foolishly ignore their parents words and come anyway.
Either that, or they're just too dumb to understand what their
parents' words mean.
Through the years, people have enjoyed coming to my
house and sitting around the fire to be scared out of their fur...
However, I still despise Trick or Treating; it is a pointless activity that
brings sickness and children to my doorstep. I believe in the true
Halloween, where ghosts and spirits have a time to arise ... not a
happy time where kids can beg their neighbors for sweets and
stuff themselves silly. What is the point in it?"

-------Image---Hi, I'm ~Stormfly, currently an owner of one Kiamara, Lari. I'd love to make this lovely Kiamara my second.
ImageName:
-------Image---Marlene 'Caution' Seam
-------Marlene is her first name, Seam her last and Caution a curious nickname which is explained below.
-------The Seam is an area in District 12 in the Hunger Games books, which is a coal mining district so it seemed to fit.
-------Marlene just seemed to fit at first sight - it popped into my head when I saw her.
-------Caution was a nickname given to her by friends. She had been softly singing 'Overdrive' and tripped over a door
-------frame just as she sang 'caution flies right out the door'. Once they'd helped her up they tried out the nickname and
------- it suited her, so it stuck.
ImageGender:
-------Image---Female
ImageFavorite thing about Halloween:
-------Image---Caution has never really celebrated Halloween - her country of origin, Kenya, had no such festival and
-------whilst now lives in Scotland the idea doesn't appeal to her. However, she does dress up to celebrate the
-------Mombassa Carnival from her home country. Technically this would be too early, the festival starting in November,
-------but this doesn't faze Marlene. She'll wear her best Kenyan-styled garments and a mask and hand out traditional
------- Kenyan treats. She loves making her costume and mask every year, as well as the snacks, so her favourite part
-------of halloween is probably how her heritage has changed it for her.
ImageLeast favorite thing about Halloween:
-------Image---Marlene's least favourite aspect of October 31st is how the children seem to take every sweet for granted.
-------Growing up in Kenya with a wealthy family, Caution never went hungry, but she'd see children outside their house
-------begging for any food, starved and cold. Throughout November, the sponsors of the carnival would give them food
-------and sweets, much like what happens in modern Halloween - not because they were all lovely people, least of all
-------Caution, but because tradition instructed them to do so. The young kiamaras in Kenya knew this but they were still
-------so grateful, but here in Scotland when she gave out Kenyan treats or watched others give out sweets the majority
-------just grabbed them and left, a few muttering 'thank you' in the process. So I guess she dislikes how her Kenyan
-------vantage point has changed the meaning of food and gratitude for her, and that the people of Scotland cannot reflect
-------that meaning on this day they expect rather than enjoy sweets and treats.
