Dan is a young, brightly colored Parrapup, who enjoys music.
He is not a very social guy, and doesn't spend much time "hanging out" with friends or visiting
"get together" parties.
Though he doesn't spend much time with others, he has no problem with it, and doesn't mind
the company of friends or family, he just doesn't bother to visit.
He enjoys singing to himself and taking walks, he avoids winged Parrapups because he has a
slight bit of jealousy towards their ability to fly, though he has a mild fear of vehicles as they
make a lot of noise, and he doesn't understand them very much beyond them not being real
living creatures.
Despite his envy towards winged Parrapups, he often enjoys bird watching. On his walks he
often pauses in the middle of a little song to make mock call to a bird he sees, make a quick
sketch of it on a notepad he keeps in his sash, or take a couple of notes about it.
When the weather is unpleasant or he isn't up for a walk, Dan also enjoys Kirigami, he usually
makes birds, though other creatures have been crafted as well. He started the hobby buying a
few online, and since he has done enough to start working on his own designs. His designs
aren't as well done as the professionally made kits he buys, but they usually turn out decent
enough that the satisfaction of making his own design can make up for the rest.
People often wonder why Dan doesn't have candy, candy corn, or Halloween themed lifestyles.
Well, the fact is, his parents didn't see him hatch and go "Oh! He looks like a candy corn!" and
anyone who notices any resemblance has not been rude enough to walk up to a strange
Parrapup and tell them they look like a Halloween treat.
It isn't like he has no idea, he is perfectly aware of Halloween, candy corn, and what color his
fur is, but he feels it would be ridiculous to let that drive his actions.
Another thing some have wondered about is his locket, why does he wear so little, but almost
always seems to have a small locket around his neck? No one seems to know what is inside,
though some assume it is just his parents. He has never been witnessed to open it, at least
no one has claimed to have witnessed it before, though he doesn't act secretive or protective
about it.
A common theory joked about by his acquaintances who see him around is that is has pictures
of birds in it, though a more realistic one is that is has some sort of quality about it that brings
luck.
Most commonly though, people don't care much about a silly locket, why fret over a piece of
metal when you have real work to do and lives to live? It kinda looks cool glistening in the
sunlight anyway.. hmm.
