A whole world for her to escape to...

Now we're not talking planets or day dreams, we're talking about virtual realities. Noriko has been experimenting with technology that will allow one to be transported into a game world. Of course no one else but those who help and fund her experiments know about it, and they only know that it's a video game project.
She always loved the idea of virtual reality and the possibilities of creating your own world to live in, even for a few hours. Her 'portals' have a set timer for her safety, as she is still not sure what would happen if she spent longer then 30 minutes within the world or how stable the portals would be after that allotted time.
It wasn't easy keeping such a huge project secret, but with acquiring a large underground lab under her home and making sure the entrance was quite hidden, it has been a simpler task. Of course it does get annoying when her 'helpers' get nosy about the project. She usually lies through her teeth that it's a console project or a large software series. But why hide the possibility to go into your own world? The question should be, why wouldn't you? A place to call your own, to modify, to make you happy, forget the troubles awaiting back in reality. Cluttering it with others who could care less about your own personal happiness is just a detriment. Even so, it is also highly experimental, Noriko would hate the day that she gets stuck in her own little world if or when her portals fail her. Why accidentally put others in danger?

My most recent "victim" was a snow leopard girl. Younger than I; maybe 16 or 17. What I did caused her to lose her love to someone else. She was devastated. Truly devastated. All was going well, she thought. All was perfect. She asked me; "what happened, Icelyn? Why did she go?"
I said nothing, just listened to her woeful cries.
Why did she go? Because I helped a boy win her heart. Built him up with words and ways so he could win her over. All for a selfish gain. A sort of bribe.

I sometimes wonder why I do this. Why I hurt people. But at the end of the day, I gain from it, so I keep doing these terrible things.
I'm low. I'm cold. I'm a sick, twisted being.

My name is Sorren. Well, it might not be. i Hear rumors that people call me Hisoka- and like any other person, i would look it up in the dictionary and find it means secretive in Japanese... But that's just a rumor. It goes from place to place, so I suppose I am a rumor.

I never knew the world could be so back-stabbing. I trusted others, but it wasn't friendship they were interested in. It was me. They wanted to use me. Well, you've missed your opportunity. I've gone, and left my memories with them. I hope you lot enjoy them.

When Dezz realized this, she was so sad and thought it was unfair, so she started walking around with her eyes closed. This kiamara seems to be hiding a secret, what is it?:
Kara-ko was brought up in a sheltered home. She was homeschooled all the way through her senior year, and even then lived with her parents until she was 20. You see, Kara-ko is schizophrenic. She has two other personalities other than her main one, each going by a different name. Kara-ko is generally shy and reserved, but one of her personalities, Ko-Ko, is very rebellious and rude. Her third personality, Kara, is haughty and stuck up. Kara-ko's parent's were terrified their daughter would be the butt of all the jokes at regular school because of her random changing from one personality to the next, so they decided to homeschool her. They kept poor Kara-ko from any social interaction, causing her to become even more reserved and afraid. Personality changes became even more frequent as Kara-ko grew up, until even she was unsure of who she really was. One day, she couldn't stand her parent's babying any longer. She ran away from home. Now, she goes from city to city, selling her art in order to survive, never staying in one place for very long.
