Sunday, Sept 28th

Desconcido went to the harbor. He rolled in the sand, and got plenty of salt in his fur! A crab even bit him on the snout when he was messing with the crab traps - He's very good at holding his breath. We enjoyed jumping off the pier, and even a short paddleboard ride. He tried to ride a banana boat, but kept falling off.. He doesn't seem to have a very good grip.

Monday, Sept 29th
I think Desconcido ate something, he's not himself. He won't let me touch him, and while I was grooming him he bit my hand.

Tuesday, Sept 30th
I dragged Desconcido to the pack's healer, Pimenta. She might know a cure for this. Desconcido is grumpy, and the other Pinnas tend to stay away.

Wednesday, Oct 1st
Apparently it's contagious. Narval's in the healer's den as well, and Chispa's acting pretty strange. I hope it's just a stomach bug.

Thursday, Oct 2nd
I dug some dens for them, with soft moss and small water pools. They don't even have to come out, since Pimenta will leave herbs and food inside every day.

Friday, Oct 3rd
Desconcido's can barely move. Chispa and Narval are very sore, and Pimenta's not very hungry. They're all dehydrated from barfing, and I try to give them as much water as possible.

Saturday, Oct 4th
I finally found the nerve to take the three to the vet. I take Fuego and Pimenta as well, since they spend so much time with the sick Pinnas, even though I tell Fuego to stay away from his son. The vet's is empty, and the doctors take us right in. They give us medicine, and tell us the Pinnas have a severe stomach bug. Pimenta and Fuego will be fine if they stay away, though i give them some medicine as well just in case.

Sunday, Oct 5th
Chispa has started playing again. He annoys Narval and Desconcido all day. I think he'll recover first, since he's younger.

Monday, Oct 6th
Chispa recovered, and he's boisterous as always. Narval and Desconcido seem better, but I decided to keep them confined for at least another day.

Tuesday, Oct 7th
Narval and Desconcido are a little tired, but perfectly fine. The only reason they're not hunting is because they're sleeping

Wednesday, Oct 8th
Desconcido and Narval have fully recovered. They brought back and elk calf today with Fuego and Inverieno.

Thursday, Oct 9th
Desconcido has decided to go back to training. I decide to play fetch "Go get it, boy!" I call as he chases after the frisbee.

Friday, Oct 10th
I've decided to create a Pinna race. All of my Pinnas are competing. We'll do it over and over again until there's one racer left.
The first race is tomorrow, since I'm still setting the track up

Saturday, Oct 11th
We've started the race. Right now Fuego is in the lead, with Manachado close behind. Dorada, Velluda, Pimenta, and Desconcido are tailing them. Chispa and Doble have made it to the finish line already and are biting each other's ears. Arbol Perrene was in last place, and he isn't very happy about that.

Sunday, Oct. 12th

The second race has passed! Dorado almost lost, but Manachado stumbled, and Dorado took the advantage. Desconcido on the other hand was the first one across the finish line. I've trained him well.

Monday, Oct 13th

The next race is in! Dorado in the lead - Now Pimenta - Dorado steals it back - and a beautiful comeback for Estrella, who has just crossed the finish line! Desconcido follows close behind, panting, but yapping in joy. Doble is in last place.

Tuesday, Oct 14th

I've set up obstacles on the track. Velluda leaps across the jump in front of the finish line, creating an amazing finish. Desconcido pushes Fuego aside and seals Fuego's fate: He's out!

Wednesday, Oct 15th

Desconcido takes the lead! Velluda pushes him aside. Desconcido knocks Chispa aside, who tumbles in the dust and loses the race as Velluda crosses the finish line.

Thursday, Oct 16th

Inverieno, who definitely hasn't been the center of attention, takes the lead! She kicks Desconcido, who leaps on top of her. Camouflaje's bulk slows him down and gives him last place.

Friday, Oct 17th

Manchita nips Inverieno, who is now in last place. Manchita crosses the finish line, ripping the banner

Saturday, Oct 18th

Manchita's luck has run out - Malvavisca growls a threat even though she's a lower rank, and Manchita steps aside for Galaxia's easy win.

Sunday, Oct 19th

Malvavisca's fame has only lasted one race - She loses as Encina uses his muscle and rank to push her away.

Monday, Oct. 20th

Encina wins again as he kicks Desconcido aside. Desconcido makes a comeback and leaves Narval in last place.

Tuesday, Oct 21st

Fundido has inured Encina by tripping him, leaps up as Encina hits the ground, and crosses the finish line. Encina growls as the other Pinnas leap over him - Desconcido kicks him for good measure! They seem very competitive, these Pinnas.

Wednesday, Oct 22nd

This race will decide who will be in the finals! Desconcido and Pimenta race neck in neck, while Fundido tries to make a breakthrough. Desconcido and Pimenta cross the finish line at the same time, making sure Fundido was far behind them.

Thursday, Oct 23rd

Desconcido has found himself very tired - He's no macht for Pimenta! She trots along merrily as Desconcido crawls along at a very slow pace - I should rename him Caracol (Snail)!

Desconcido seems to be looking longingly at Velluda quite a bit - I think they may have some connection!

Saturday, Oct 25th

Desconcido and I went to the fair today. He followed me around as I played games, sat quietly while I rode the Ferris wheel, and
tried to lick the ice cream of my cone. Well, at least I know I have to teach him not to eat off the table!

Sunday, Oct 26th

Today I made Desconcido come inside and sit at the table. He looked at me with yearning eyes as I ate a juicy steak in front of him. Eventually he became bored and padded away. Next time I hope he does it sooner so I can properly train him not to beg!

Monday, Oct 27th

Desconcido and I did the same exercise again. This time, he left instantly - What a relief! Now he won't beg for food, at least from me.

Tuesday, Oct 28th

Desconcido and I went to the store to buy - you guessed it - Candy! I hope the trick or treaters will be okay with picking candy out of the basket with only the supervision of Pinnas, because I won't be there, as I must take Desconcido somewhere... special.

Wednesday, Oct 29th

Today I took Desconcido out to choose a pumpkin to carve. We found a round, fat pumpkin, as well as a knotty squarish one. I decided to carve the round one into a moon with a bat, and the squarish one into a scary face.

Thursday, Oct 30th

Desconcido and I went to the airport with our tickets. We eventually boarded the plane. I took a seat in the front, while some workers put Desconcido in the bottom of the plane. I don't think he liked it, though. When he came out he was quite nauseated!

Friday, Oct 31st

Desconcido and I ride a bus to the "2 months with a shelter Pinna" show. I was a participant in this blind adopt event - and I have trained Desconcido the way he should be trained! We go on stage after a long grooming session to show of Desconcido's skills - but will we win? After Desconcido shows his stuff, I walk to a register to turn in the journal I was supposed to write every day to record what happened while I was training him. We then waited for the high judge (AnnaROUaT) to show the scores!
