Name: Esmée {EHZ-may}
Origins- The name Esmée means "esteemed" or "loved" in Old French. Derived from the French esmée (loved), the past participle of the verb esmer (to love). Alternatively, some believe the name to be a variant of Aimé (beloved).

Gender:A beautiful female.

Species: Esmée here is a growing species named Postas.

Physical Description: Esmée is a small posta standing at about 2ft. tall. Her fur is pure white except for along her sides she has a design in her fur that seems to resemble a heart rate with a strangly perfect heart in the middle of it. Then there is her tail, mainly at the tip, and a smeared 'v' shaped pattern on her chest that are a deep red. Esmée suffered from some chemical burns and was told that her fur would never grow back; though somehow it did and in a beautiful deep red that complements her white fur. She also wears a collar, about as red as her special fur, that gives off a beautiful glowing red light.

Hobbies: Esmée's hobbies including everything from helping out at the hospital to playing dress-up and tag with Riley. Her favorite is hide-and-seek which is a common game they play when they visit Riley's grandma as she lives near a small wooded area and the trees make for an exciting game. She also loves hanging out in the break room, when she gets the chance, with Jack because he is always rewarding her for a job well done!

Personality: Esmée doesn't really have the bad side that most personalities do; she is always loving and caring and just a big help whenever she can be. However just is only a Posta so she does have that bad side, this little girl gets very moody and times and a bit snappy when things don't go her way. Though don't let that stop you from knowing her because she is also sensitive and kind; along with being intuitive and very idealistic, she is a complete neat freak and can't stand slobs. But all of that is what makes Esmée, Esmée.


History: Growing up near a hospital Esmée saw alot of humans with all kinds of injuries come and go; though she wasn't sure why she wished so much that she could in some way help them. Being all alone the young Posta wasn't sure what to do with her life as she wasn't quite sure what she was suposed to be doing, no one had ever been there for her to help explain it or even just so she wasn't lonely. One day there was a high picked shreak a few houses down from where she had passing by, instantly the small, white pup dashed to the sorce feeling the common urge to help. It turned out to be a little girl, she had been helping her dad work on the car and she had gotten some battery acid on her. The poor girl seemed like she was in so much pain so Esmée rushed over to her not thinking of being careful; and somehow in all the chaos of the girl, the dad, the sirens coming from the hospital, Esmée had gotten burned with the acid as well. It is now what forms the deep red patterns smeared in her fur.

Both of the them were rushed to the hopspital, Esmée mostly because no one was sure what to do with her. The doctor who had treated Riley, the little girl, also agreed to do his best to help the Posta; though he was no vet he was still very skilled. Dr. Jackson Shephard managed to help both of the burn victims and placed them both in the same recovery room. Esmée woke later that day with a warm feeling on her back, it was Riley; the sweet little girl was hugging her white coat. Happiness rushed through her, she never knew that any one could love an animal like this child seemed to. Though they were both banaged and broken somehow Esmée knew they'd get through it. Later on when the gauze was removed Esmée felt the strange feeling of the bare patches of skin showing on her chest and tail. Shuddering she didn't think Riley would love her anymore because she was no longer this pretty, white Posta; she was half bare and splotchie; though that didn't stop Riley she still looked at Esmée with her loving eyes.

They were told that there would be no groth in fur on her bare patches for the rest of her life, though about a month later Esmée and Riley were amazed to see small, red fuzz starting to show through the skin. The fuzz quickly grew into fur making Esmée look almost normal again, though the internal scars would be there forever, and this strange fur seemed permenantly red, she was just glad to feel complete again.


Present Time: About a year after the accident Esmée recieved a job, a job working for the same hospital and Dr. who had saved her and her beloved Riley. The always wanting to help attitude inside her was finally going to get to be set free, Jack wanted Esmée to run notes, files, and all sorts of stuff from wing to wing of the hospital. It was alot of exercise and hard work; but on the bright side now she could stay in shape. Padding through the hospital halls she always had a smile inside and out as she did her job. Then at the end of the day she'd always get to go home and see Riley, the two would play for what seemed like hours before retiring to bed; only to start all over again the next day!

Siblings- Since neither of her parents are known to her she doesn't know about having or not having any siblings. Though she had as wanted a family and was super pleased when Riley's family adopted her after the accident.

Riley- Nicknamed Riles, is her new owner and by far her bestest friend in the entire world. The two are almost inseperable except when Esmée has to go to the hospital to work; though if she could take Riley with her, she would! Their future plans are nothing but to be together forever!

Dr. Jackson Shepherd- Called Jack for short, Dr. Shephard is a great friend to Esmée and she is glad to have met him. At the time he wasn't sure what to do with an injuried animal in his ER, but now that she has been a great help to him around the hospital, he is glad that he saved her.
