I was waiting for a Kia from you, Polaris. I must say that you do not disappoint!
“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” - WInston ChurchillUsername:IBiteBackName:Lava. Some of his friends can get away with calling him Lavi.
I went with Lava because I had a cat that was very similar in color to this Kia, as in without the spots and markings I'm sure that they were the exact same color. Lava was a sweetheart and my baby boy, with vibrant green eyes and a purr that could give a motorcycle a run for its money. Unfortunately, he became very ill and had to be put down- so this Kia might just live in his honor. On a different, less sad and serious note, the markings that do not glow remind me of a lava lamp I had when I was a lot younger.Gender:Male Personality:Optimistic
There are just some people who are born looking at the good side of a storm. Sure, it takes down dozens of homes and causes all different kinds of damage if it's really bad, but on the upside no one will have to worry about a drought for a few weeks. Lava is that kind of guy, the one that wants to help change the outlook of those around him to a more positive, happy view because he really likes it when his friends are happy. Their happiness fuels his own, and smiles are a wonderful thing.Passionate
If Lava is going to do something, he will do it with all of his heart, his soul, and every fiber in his body. He's going to put all of his ability into doing something, because that is just the type of Kiamara he is. When he really, really wants something, those around him will be able to see it in his eyes and the way he strives to do whatever he wants to get done. Some young Kiamaras have been able to find this personality trait admirable, though Lava is not the type to milk their admiration- even if he might get something out of it.Outspoken
Sadly, there are dozens of people and personalities all over the world- online and offline- that hold back their opinions and stay soft spoken. Lava just doesn't happen to be one of those types of people; if he has an opinion of something, or he's got something that he wants to get off of his chest, you're bound to know it pretty quickly. Even if you're bigger than him and have the ability to stuff Lava into a trashcan, he'll share his opinion with you and feel content because he didn't keep it in.Open-minded
Last but certainly not least of his traits, Lava is very open-minded. If you have an opinion and you would like to share it with him, he'd be happy to hear it because it will give him an insight to your point of view. He likes to have several different ways to look at things- but all of them positive. Even if this is one of the few things he keeps a secret, he actually wants to be an inventor. Inventors always have to keep open-minds to succeed, in the honest opinion of this very handsome young Kiamara.Extra:

How Lava Got His Feathers:
The shop was always kept at a chilling temperature of sixty-eight degrees, and he could see that most customers were uncomfortable as they walked around and peered at the miscellaneous items that sat and collected dust on the shelves. By now, the dark furred Kia had pretty much adapted to it- he spent most of his time working anyways, so when he did go outside he always thought that it was too hot or too cold depending on the time of year. It was summer, so the temperature was welcomed by both Lava and the customers that wandered into the small shop. Amber eyes combed over the shelves full of knick-knacks, ears pressing to his head with disinterest as he longed for someone- anyone to come into the store. The silence was weighing down his entire body and making his paws heavy, so if he did decide to pace again they would feel as though he were pulling an old fashioned prisoner's ball and chain.
HIs longing heart was soon relieved as the familiar little silver bells above the door jingled, signaling the arrival of someone who either wanted to buy something they really didn't need, or sell it. Sometimes, if he was lucky, someone would bring in something with a very interesting backstory. He liked to learn about the pasts of whatever was brought into the store, and he had actually given some of the merchandise their very own names. Only the ones that no one was going to every really buy- like Carl, the little shrunken head that supposedly belonged to a chief of some wild Amazonian tribe. Instead of a young Kiamara, which was what was always expected, it was an older female that moved with a slight limp but a kind smile on her muzzle. Tired eyes landed on the young male at the counter- not yet matured from the lack of feathers, and she limped closer.
"How may I help you, ma'am?" Lava asked softly, once again forgetting that there was a specific greeting he was supposed to use when speaking with customers. She said nothing as she studied the youth's horns, his markings, and his amber eyes before placing a little black box on the counter, a little silver ribbon completing the package. His gaze went down to it briefly, and when Lava looked up again the elder was gone without leaving any trace.
