For so long, for so long, I have hidden what is true.
For so long, for so long, I have hidden it from you.
For so long, for so long, Your life has been a lie.
For so long, for so long, Now let me tell you why.
I was walking one day,
And walked toward where a strange crater lay.
It was no meteor, but some ruined pod,
Just a wreck among the leaves and sod.
Inside, a baby with the strangest tail,
And an angry, violent nature, so if I even touched him he would flail.
But there was nothing in the world I would give up for,
And nothing in the world I wanted more,
Than to make this satan spawn, this demon child,
Be more kind, less wild,
Calmer, less destructive,
Someone to be the hero, to help others live.
And now I look at you, my boy, and what you have done,
I see my dreams of love and fun,
And they where all in vain.
