Confident:
It's hard to get this sure-footed kia to stumble in any situation, even under pressure. He'll hold his head high and say what he means, judging the situation and his own capabilities on the spot without missing a beat
Easily agitated:
His "buttons" are easily pushed. Then again, this depends on who and what has happened. Around his kinds and wife he tends to have a lot more patience, while with strangers he'll snap about the littlest things. What he hates the most is tapping sounds, like the end of a pencil or the clicking or a pen. Doing such a thing is close to writing yourself a death warrant.
Affectionate:
His family is the center of his world, and as such he's very affectionate with them, and sometimes other friends. Sol will often seek and give small touches with his tail or the like, feeling more comfortable when he's able to be close to those he loves.
Devoted:
There's only one fish in the sea he could ever see himself with, and that's Fionna. He lives to please her, and when she's happy he is too. She's all he ever wanted, and tries to spend as much time as he can with her and his family.

Relation to Family:
Fionna - The relationship he shares with his mate is a special one. Sol didn't get along with the female at first - she was everything he couldn't dream of loving really - but he decided to give her a chance since he had drive away quite a few suitors already in the past with his way of thinking. He found himself entranced by the way she held herself and never seemed to raise her voice at anything even if she was beyond furious. Sol's love for his mate grew as he learned more about her, and he couldn't be happier to have his love for her returned.
Adrian - Being one of his first children, he can easily say that he's proud of his son. He may yet to accomplish anything grand, but Sol feels that that time will come soon. He supports Adrian's ideas and likes to take him places he wants to go when he's free.
Smaug - At some points Sol can be a little too protective of his first born daughter and he'd be lying if he didn't say he spoiled her. Most of his days are spent thinking of ways he could keep her "innocent" about the world, and will freeze up every time she seems to be acting older than he imagines her.
Augusta - She's the newest addition to the family and in response Sol's the doting father who seems to melt and bend to his daughter's will without hesitation. Whatever she wants, she can have it.
