tonight the flowers fall
towards the withering ground
that harbors life somehow
towards their silence
tonight, I am

despite this,

I faded, faded, faded
my colours screamed as the shadows overtook
flowers melding to the ground
within an instant, I was gone
if you could find me, you'd see
I was happy as can be

Twas a picture perfect place,
or so they said.
Depiction in description;
A majestic scene of
azure sky and magnolia clouds.
A meadow, flower-filled,
bursting with coloration.
Viridian grass and sunshine daffodils
bathed in rays of lustrous golden light.
Such visions strove to fill her gaze
as she lapped up their words, along with
the delectably delicious air
and the scents and sounds of mother nature.
But life, as it is, was never fair.
Try as she might, the images never came.
The words they spoke were but mere words, and nothing more.
With a sigh, resigned,
she glared resentfully across the horizon...
Through her picture-starved, cloudy eyes...

always getting by
I am the ninja
but I'd never hurt a fly

did you know I lived in Italy
did you know I lived in France
swinging all the nunchucks
I'd put you in a trance

while you were watching
I can still get away
losing track of balance
will usually make you sway

and just cause I'm a ninja
and you are totally not
doesn't mean I always win
but don't give that a thought

Poem: blind is a curse, they sigh and say
try to help, but keep away
I'm a ninja at heart, only you can't see
that I don't need eyes to be hap-py.

nobody liked a blind little boy
nobody liked his pout
but nobody saw the real little boy
the ninja that longed to come out

I'm exactly the type to hide in the dark
as that's where I live my life;
my ninja heart is happ-i-est
without all that trouble and strife

ironic how they laughed and chased
teasing for having no sight
but they couldn't see the ninja that grew
and he knew wrong from right

oh, how he could have made them pay
for all the troubles they brought;
but, being a sweet little boy,
revenge he never sought.
