Icarus, he believes himself to be irrelevant to the world around him. Not really wanting to have someone there telling him he's smart, and trying to change his mind. He will prefer to go and sit in corners and mind his own business, rather than coming out into the crowd and socializing. Icarus has a special way of communicating. though, It is an indirect way of letting people see what he's trying so say. He does it through computer technology. Sounds and games and all that high-tech stuff. He's a computer genius. He had created and established the "gridd" or a place where the men in the military can train in a virtual world.
It wasn't a complete success but because of his training as a medic, missions technical specials, weaponry expert, and participated in flying bomber planes, and has past experience with planes and outfits, this didn't seem much of a problem. He fixed it all, slapping down a title, and it worked. Giving the soldiers leave to practice in holographic combat and having over 50 different situations. It worked very well with everyone. He expresses his personality through a computer. He does smile, but it ain't like he's going to do it every time he's happy. He will blush when someone talks to him, and sometimes he's just a kid trapped inside an adults body.
Many people used to pick on him, how he'd get straight A's and he wasn't a jock. He didn't participate in sports, he'd rather go to the library and touch-up on his knowledge. His base of fighter pilots started all with the red baron. Hence the wing on his shoulder and the classic outfit he wears. That wing was a reminder of the wings of freedom. And because icarus the Greek boy, Did try to fly, made it, and he fell into the sea trying. He remembers that not all efforts are in vain. Try your best and do what you must, is his motto. Icarus wears aviator goggles, a bomber jacket, and the scarves pilots wear when they were flying planes.
He chose this outfit because of the influence the red baron - aka a person he idolized quite a bit - had on him. His story, it kind of inspired him to try harder, to push for the sky. And the sky is the limit. He has a theoretical way of showing his passion for the man. Dressing like him and placing poster after poster on his wall. But his true true idol of all is Reno. Reno is another idol to Icarus. Icarus believes Reno believes that he is his son. Reno had taken Icarus under his wing and taught him about somethings. Discovering his small flaw, and helping to rehabilitate him so it's not there. At first when Icarus was younger, he was petrified of the pseudo because of his eyes and the cool, calm gleam to his eyes, in his stare. But it was Reno's bravery and his medals that hooked him. His rescue attempt in the labs, the fact his father trained him, he got all these medals. It astounded him. He was one of their top shoulders, let alone officers, and he had taking this scrap in under his wing.
Icarus learned from Reno, followed his ways until Reno urged him to break off and find his own destiny. And with his first idol's help, he did. Technology was it, and he loved it. He was a tech wiz, and he knew it. He couldn't help but to be more proud of himself, and the proud look Reno gave him when he discovered it, was enough to say so.↘ ↘ ↘ ↘ s h o r t s t o r y
Icarus watched the flowers in the lobby, wondering why they were so... colorless. 'The flowers..... their grey aren't they.' He spoke as he looked at the blue flowers. ' No icarus, their blue' someone said from behind him. He heard them come up behind him. Icarus sighed. 'I cannot see' he sighed. 'for they are as shady as my life. pure, undevided. broken' he muttered. He heard that voice again. 'Your far from it. now mah mukker. Stoap bein' sae damn sulky, or dae ah hae tae come ower thare 'n' stoap ye masell? ah kin, ah wull, 'n' ye ken it' Reno hissed from his position next to him.
Icarus blushed and shook his head. ' No sir, you don't need to' icarus muttered. Reno glanced at him, surround his eyes. 'I understand I'm hard on ye sometimes, but I am only tryin' tah help ye.' Reno's voice softened, revealing that compassionate purr in his voice as he spoke. Icarus nodded. Understanding. Reno grinned and he laughed, walking over to him. ' One day friend, you be seeing everything in a new light' He spoke as he turned and walked away, tail swishing in contentment. Icarus wanted to smile, and yet he didn't, he couldn't. He felt this pang of recollection. He couldn't smile, he wasn't confident enough yet. No matter, he'll get there one day.
