"I have many regrets. But something I have always regretted was the day I ditched my friend to save myself."
You know when kids get into those teenage years, they become rebellious and reckless, especially the males? Well, Raphael was one of them. He thought he was invincible and untouchable. He gets into all kinds of trouble, from damaging other's properties to doing dangerous tricks and stunts near the cliff. Suddenly, the rocks caved and Raphael and his friends feel into a dark, narrow tunnel, with the only visible way out being the 10m steep climb. Careless and idiotic, Raphael and his friends decided to explore the cave. Unknown of the dangers awaiting in the darkness. A menacing Pseudo (if you'd even call him that) lived in this cave. Maru. He was an error that occurred in the lab. After escape, he had successfully found a cave to reside in. Because of his error, he doesn't like company and enjoys taking other Pseudos that came along this cave into his little dungeon, where he actually does his own studies of the Pseudodragon species. When Raphael and his friends tumbled upon Maru's cave, they were attacked by the error Pseudo. Raphael's friend Alfred was the closest to Maru and he was caught instantly. Without even a thought of going back to rescue Alfred, Raphael and his friends quickly escaped from the scary Pseudo, leaving Alfred's frightened cries for help behind.

Ever since that moment, Raphael has regreted how much of a coward he was. Deciding it was time to grow up, he become the brave, and down to earth boy he is today.

➸    this is my greatest regret

 you can never think properly when you're faced with a choice. This I know for certain.

Have you ever been in a crashing plane? I have. Many, many times. As a pilot, it's part of the job.

But I wasn't ready for that crash.

It was a beautiful day, no sign of trouble. Visuals were perfect, the views were terrific; there wasn't a breath
of wind or a cloud in the sky. I had a co-pilot beside me, but it wasn't just any co-pilot. My girlfriend. Sundance.

She had trained alongside me in the academy, had flown countless times with me and we worked brilliantly
together. It was perfect; to have her beside me was the moment I'd been waiting for.

A good pilot never lets his attention stray from the job.

The ring, hidden in the folds of my goggles- old-fashioned, but comfortable- was expensive, more
than I'd ever spent before, but worth every penny. "Sunny?"

I asked, glancing over at her. She grinned at me, her happy face lighting up.
"What is it?"

I swallowed. Nerves. Never really felt them before. But now, the most important question.
"Uh... Can I... Ask you something?"

She laughs a little, smiling still. "Anything."

I rolled the ring in my palm and tried to swallow the hysteria rising up in my stomach. My heart
pulsed in my chest. I was genuinely afraid.

"Will you marry me?"

I have never forgotten the look in her eyes then. The joy, the excitement. It was beautiful to see.

She pulled me across in a hug. "Of course!" she laughed in my ear, and I laughed with her. Joy
exploded in my stomach.

Then everything changed.

The freak air current. The rolling of the plane. The burst as the engine exploded. The sickening
jolting as I tried desperately to get us over water. Because I knew. Sundance didn't, but I did.

There was only one parachute.

I could feel her panic as she crouched in the cockpit, as she watched me fight the failing engines and the
burning plane. I could do nothing. Sometimes you just can't save things. Sometimes they have to be allowed
to fall.

The plane's nose tipped and I was flung forwards, my nose slamming against the windscreen. We were falling.
There was a rippp as the left wing was pulled off by air resistance. I felt the sob rise up. No hope.
Not any more.

I grabbed the parachute, pushed it to Sundance. "Go!" I cried. "You have to go!"

But before she could speak, move, do anything, the plane lurched. Something heavy rolled across the plane,
narrowly missing us, and slammed into the side of the plane. It punched a hole through.

And Sundance was sucked through it. Out. Into the air. To fall, and drop. Like a stone.

The parachute was still in my hands. My tail was wrapped around the pilot's seat. I let go.

But Sundance was too close to the ground when I went after her. She was screaming, unable to slow down. I
yelled her name, but she didn't hear me.

I cried.
