Favorite Tree Type: Liquid Ambers - We had two of these trees at the house I spent the majority of my childhood in, which we lost to foreclosure a couple years back. To me the trees kind of signified our house. Don't really know why, but they just stood out. I've always loved their star shaped leaves, and even their spiky seed pods. (Even though they're not as nice when stepping on them with bare feet!) After some people moved into the house our old neighbor informed us that the people living their had cut them down. This hit me hard in the strangest way. (One of the trees however didn't give up without a fight. The house sat vacant for so long the roots started growing up through the toilet. I felt like an odd form a justice had been served upon hearing this.) Recently, my dad bought a new liquid amber and now we have one back in our front yard. It's tiny, but I'm glad to be able to have a Liquid Amber back in my home. :3
