THYME'S POV
Rain splattered on the ground ahead. Of course it did. That always had to happen after someone died. Why is it that water just seems to be against us at the worst times? Thyme stepped forward, his old paws screaming in agony against the cold, rough street. His daughter Tesla had drowned just a week earlier. He had been visiting her grave often, leaving willow branches. It had been her favorite 'discovery.' Being very young, things like that had never seised to amaze her. He cringed at the thought, and he started running faster. The rain was stinging his skin, and he couldn't bare being near water anymore. The only water that didn't actually bother him were his own tears, as they streamed down his face, silent as wind. Finally, he was there. He set the branch down, and sat by the grave. And he had a break down. He cried and screamed, asking why god would ever do this to him. When he finally calmed himself down, it had been at least an hour, and he seemed to have cuts all over him. He rested his head on his paws and just waited. Waited for something. He didn't know what, just that he needed to wait. So he did. His ears perked up. Some where in the distance, and faint caw of a bird sounded. He got up and stretched. He didn't know how long he had been there, but now that he had looked at the sky, he knew it must have been a long time. Then there was a rustling. A baby khuma peeked it's head out of the bushes. It was white with purple spot-like dots around its body. It had blue gray eyes. Thyme's eyes flamed with delight, a tear of silent joy running down his cheek. Tesla had the same eyes, and the light had always caught in the same way, making it look like moonlight lived in her eyes. "Hi, Im Tesla!" The kit said. "Who are you?"
TESLA'S POV
"Hi, I'm Tesla! Who are you?" I walk closer to the other khuma, a little confused but all the more curious. I'm like that. It's odd, my feelings are often mixed or I'm feeling two of which are exact opposites. Earlier I felt cautious but excited at the same time. I don't know why this happens, but I guess that's just my life. It takes me a while to realize that he had already responded to my question. "Thyme? Isn't that an herb or something?" I ask him. It makes me feel a little rude, but I feel I can be myself around him. He just seems so familiar..... "Yeah, sure. Are you hear by yourself? You know that kits aren't aloud to be walking around alone!" He gives me a stern look, and I don't feel mixed emotions anymore. At the moment, I feel nothing. "Um... Sorry. I ran away. My old parents kicked me out." His look softens and he turns around. "Follow me." He says then bounds off. I follow him to a far away clearing, where he stops. "Would you like me to be your new parent?" My eyes sparkle with excitement. "Yes." I whisper.
The end! I hope that explains her personality good... I'm not sure though. So, yeah...
