least favorite thing about spring;;
there it is. an ever-present reminder in this world that, despite spring's messengers curling around abandoned brick walls with their delicate green tendrils, someone must leave so that the others may take its place and thrive. spring announces the birth of young ones, bringing joy to the proud parents, spring beckons the seedlings in the ground to reach up, reach the sun! but alas, often times the innocence of spring is tainted with mourning. a shriveled up sliver of green, slowly crisping into a yellow, then to brown. a ladybug snatched up by a mama bird to feed her children.

→ The perishability, and the perishability alone. More than every other season, spring is ephemeral, and literally rushes through it's phases: Buds turn into blossoms, hatchlings into fully-grown birds, and the flowers bloom and wither too fast for Relia's taste. She, who always loved spring, hates to know that nothing lasts in spring, but everything changes and leaves behind nothing but memories she has to save until the next year.

Kindela

Kindela's least favorite part of spring is the rain. She loves to go outside and play, but the rain just makes mud, and angers her.
