"a passionate expression of grief or sorrow."
gender: Female
- An expression of grief and sorrow. The quote says as much, speaking of something as vile and infamous as Death, often taken as a sign of something impure and withholding.
Lament questions the choices made in life, and questions why life would choose to hand itself over to the very prying hands of Death, who never bothered to ask permission to enter the room that situated the souls of any person.
As a very questioning Kiamara, Lament is heavily focused on the negative parts of life. Never, to her, was it ever newborns and miracles. A dark, twisted view on life was what she took from being alive, and a long, winding life she has had questioning the very simple concepts of life and death, always wondering why.
Lament is a heavy pessimist, although she often tries to be positive but ultimately fails. Her questioning nature often comes off harsh and dark, although in her eyes it's merely how life works. Why should she lie to others if she, herself, doesn't believe in something they do?
Life isn't that forgiving.
