Answer: Emory is a laid-back, easy-going Equid who does not care for harnesses and trappings- he'll accept the bare minimum. He does not have the poise for Halter (though he certainly has the looks!) and lacks the grace needed for Dressage. He's a bit too over-eager for Show-Jumping, so what does that leave him with?
Inhand Gymkhana.
And boy does he rock it. Emory is that mellow Equid that fits the classic type to show off and strut his stuff in front of others, but when it comes down to it, he guns for the win and the joy of the sport. He couldn't stand the "sameness" of Show Jumping- he needs new experiences and Gymkhana always shakes things up. He loves stretching his limits in different ways, and having fun. His leaps and bounds, used as a colt to flee from bigger colts he had annoyed, or reach some tasty treat on a branch across a fast-moving stream, are now in use for bending about poles, barrels, and sprinting in relays. With a swish of his tail and a flash of his golden hide, he steals the show and takes the praise without a bat of his eyelashes.
