Roxanne isn't anti-social, and could in fact be labelled as the
complete opposite. She loves talking and making friends, and will
often attempt to do so; however, while she isn't anti-social, she is
easily dissuaded. She isn't an optimist when it comes to socializing,
or really, anything. She can always tend to see the dark side of
situations. Her attempts at socialization and making friends are
also met with a slightly-disapproving population, as she finds her
words often laced in sarcasm and a bit of malice.
This song takes a look into Roxanne's feelings towards most of the
kiamaras she encounters. Her attempts at socialization are often
stopped by either the kiamara's disapproving opinion of Roxanne,
or the fake opinion Roxanne often places upon the kiamara. Because
of this, Roxanne believes she has "Ice on the tips of [her] fingers"--
no kiamara is willing to take her hand and accompany her, because
she believes they are afraid of the consequences of being around
Roxanne, and being labelled as "venomous" or "rude", as she
routinely is mistaken as.
Because of the way other kiamaras treat Roxanne, she has often
had to rely on herself to help get her through tough times, or other
situations that others may have friends to help with. Roxanne will
often refer to the absence of friends through phrases such as "No
one cares enough to risk it". It's in these times of lonesome worry
that Roxanne turns to paper to write down her feelings.
