Jaycee May Baseberry
Jaycee is a little girl <3
Jaycee May is a very sweet bean. She cares highly about others, strangers and friends alike. Her parents raised her to treat others like she wants to be treated, and she took their message to heart. The only time that this kind nature falters is when someone hurts her brother. Jaycee is incredibly protective over Mikey, as he is of her, and will not hesitate to go off on a bully. Though she is sweet, Jay is definitely not shy. She will not hesitate to run up to new beans and introduce herself, especially to those around her own age. This small-but-mighty girl is also quite stubborn. When put up to a task, she will not back down.
It is unknown how she became this way, but Jayc is very superstitious. She is scared of black cats, will never walk under a latter, and never opens an umbrella inside. Her family finds this strange, but Jaycee doesn't care. She simply will
not have bad luck! One time, her brother spilled salt and she panicked when he refused to throw it over his shoulder. The next day he fell down the stairs, adding the fuel to Jaycee May's fire.
This little girl cares about her family above all else. She would do anything for them, even the relatives that she doesn't get to see very often.
Leo - DadJaycee and her dad are very close. She loves to curl up in his fur and listen to the amazing stories he tells. On sunny days, the two enjoy going outside and playing tag, hide and seek, and any other game they can think of. Jay loves taking pictures of her dad as well, especially his dual colored eyes and shaggy beard.
Anevay - MomEven though she is very close to her father, Jaycee could definitely be called a mommy's girl. She loves cuddling with Anevay because she's very warm and has soft, long fur. In order to fall asleep, Jaycee likes to count her mom's spots. She knows that she will always fall asleep before counting them all! Vay's soft, mothering nature really calms Jay and she enjoys spending most of her time with her. Their common activities while together are baking, Anevay reading to Jay, and singing together.
Mikey - Twin BrotherJaycee and Mikey are like two peas in a pod. They're always getting in to trouble together, much to their parents dismay. Although Mikey usually carries out the plans, Jaycee tends to come up with the cunning ideas. The siblings are great at pulling pranks together, they're incredibly in-sync. Maybe it's because they're twins, but the two always seem to know what the other is thinking.
Base - GrandpaGrandpa Base and Jaycee are 'partners in crime', as her parents call them. Base often sneaks candy to Jaycee and Mikey and helps them get out of the trouble that they've wiggled their way in to. It's not unusual for the twins to spend the night at Base's house and watch movies with him all night, eating popcorn and sweets.
Nixie - AuntJaycee looks up to Nixie tremendously. She thinks that her aunt is the coolest bean in the world and does whatever she can to be just like her. Jay often styles her hair like Nixie's and attempts to mirror her behavior. At home, she constantly talks about what she's gonna do with her aunt next time she goes over to Base's house. Raised with a twin brother Jay isn't terribly girly, but Nix can bring out the feminine side in her.
Amir - UncleAlthough Amir and Jaycee are not as close as she and Nixie are, the uncle and niece still love each other. Being a bit closer to her and Mikey's age, Amir is more keen to play with them whether it's wrestling, a board game, or playing tag outside. The twins know that their uncle is adopted, but they treat him like he's family which, in their hearts, he is.
PhotographySince she was very small, Jaycee has loved the idea of capturing memories in the form of photos. Being a very sentimental bean, she wants to keep every moment close to her heart. Once she began showing an interest in family photos, her mother bought her a camera. Ever since then, she's been pestering her family with taking pictures. Whether it's a large milestone or just a day at the park, Jayc wants to capture it.
BakingJaycee's love for baking started when she learned that beans actually
make the sweet candy that she loves! She's had a sweet tooth her whole life, so it makes sense that the next step was to begin creating sweets herself. Luckily for her Anevay whole-heartedly encouraged her, buying all of the necessary supplies for her creations. Though the small bean started out shaky, she's now quite the cook!
Camera -
As mentioned before, Jaycee loves photography so it makes sense for her to always have her camera around her neck. She never leaves the house without it, for what would she do if she missed a memory?
Feather -
Jayc loves to wear her bluejay feather. It was given to her by her mother when she was very young, and it's become sort of a comfort for her. It reminds her of home and her family, while also keeping her close to nature.
Cloth -
When Jaycee was two, she fell down a hill and got many scratches. The worst two were on her tail and front leg and they each required a bandage for a few weeks. When the time came to take them off, Jaycee had become accustomed to the feeling of them. Nixie, hearing about her niece's predicament, made two pretty cloth wraps for her to wear.
