His only nickname is Daisy, which was given to him at school when he was made fun of for being so feminine. He didn't mind though, because he rather liked daisies, and used to make daisy chains when he was really little.

Fears:
Aurum has many fears, the main one being motorcycles. He is always
hearing on the news about deadly crashes, and he doesn't understand
why anyone would enjoy doing something so dangerous.

Some of his other fears include falling, being alone, and needles.

he is sweet, feminine, and compationate.

In his pouch, Aurum keeps the following things:
❀His security blanket from when he was younger.
He just can't bare to part with it yet, it is a huge part of his childhood.
✿An old, black and white picture of his family before his dad died.
It is a bit crinkled and blurry, but it is the only picture of him, his mom, and his dad all together.
❀A small origami crane his dad made when he was younger.
His dad loved origami, and he gave it to Aurum when he was just seven years old. (See story below for more details)
✿A small plush kitten he made with his mom when he was only eight and a half years old.
He loved to sew, and just let his mind wander. This kitten is the first thing he made with his mom. (See story below for more details)
❀A dried out rose and a love letter.
Aurum has a huge crush on a young JBD, but he is terrified of rejection and holds on to these in the hopes of one day being brave enough to ask her out.


His personality:
He is the kindest, most helpful, and passionate bean you will ever meet. His biggest goal in life is to make others happy and find his true love. He feels he already has, but he is too scared to reach out to her, for fear that he will be crushed. He also dreams to one day travel the world, but so far hasn't done much traveling.

He just finds it very inspirational, he doesn't know why though.

He thinks it is the most beautiful flower he has ever seen, and he loves how they line up on the branches.

While blue is his favorite color, all of the soft, glowing, colors of the sun dancing across the sky is just to pretty.

About his past:
I can't write very much here, because Aurum had a pretty normal child hood. The biggest thing that defines who is today are his parents. They were kind and loving, but his dad died when he was very young. His mom died shortly after he turned eighteen, but he has lots of happy memories of their time together. His favorite memories from his mom and dad are written below.

His favorite memory from his dad:
Aurum sat on the couch, watching his favorite TV show, SpongeBob. His dad sat down with a small square of paper, and he began to fold it. Aurum paused his show, watching the mesmerizing folding in awe. When his father was done, he passed a fragile paper crane to his son, and Aurum gently took it and stared at it in wonder. “Rawr! It’s a dineesaur!’ He yelled, making sound effects as the ‘dineesaur’ dove down and attacked his dad. His dad chuckled, watching his delighted son play with the crane.

His favorite memory from his mom:
Aurum’s father had just passed away, and he was only eight years old. He didn’t quite understand what it meant, his dad dying, but he could tell his mom was sad. ‘Don’t worry mommy, daddy will be okay.’ He said somberly. His mom wiped tears from her eyes and got out a pile of fabric, and began to sew. He watched for hours, wondering what she was doing, until his mom had a delicate fabric rose in front of her. It’s like what daddy did, except with fabric instead of paper! He thought. ‘Can I try mommy?!’ He asked. ‘Sure honey. What do you want to make?’ She asked. ‘I want a kitten.’ He demanded. She began to show him how to cut, fold, and sew, and with a little help from his mom, he made a small plush kitten.


I have had a character for a bean in my head for a long time, but I have been looking for the right one for it. I didn't really have an image in my head of what I was looking for, I just sort of figured I would know him when I saw him, and this is it. I am in love with his design, and while my character isn't the most original, I am very happy with him. If I won Aurum he would be my first and last bean. Perhaps someday he might have a little baby bean, but I would gift it to someone, or let his mom's owner keep it. If I had my little Aurum I wouldn't need any other bean, he is perfect.
