ringed lapwing's name: I chose the name Quartz becase it is a very suitable name for her because well she looks a bit like the smokey quartz,a beutiful gem.
Name meaning: She looks a lot like a gem called the Smokey Quartz so I decided to call her Quartz her nickname is Smokey though.
reason for name: As I explained her colors and patterns look like the smokey quartz even if she is based off of hot cocoa I thought the name Quartz was much more original than calling her Coco or Chocolate or even Cocoa don't you agree?

Sorry, just to let you know, I'm stuck between two forms, as I like both of the names a lot, so I may take a while to decide. Don't worry, I didn't forget.

The winner is: FlyingWithThePhoenix! When you pointed it out, this Ringed lapwing does look like an earthquake in a way, and Maralah is a very pretty name.
