I already knew I wanted his balloon to have meaning behind it, so I found out just what type of bird he was (with the help of my sister) and read about them. After all that, I decided to base the balloon after the Tansania flag, since in the wild yellow collared lovebirds live there.
And since they are 'lovebirds' and I wanted to add a touch of red, I thought the hearts would be a nice touch.
The balloon will probably also play a part in his character, the birds already do. <3
