Marmaduke personally loves his name, and wouldn't change it for the world. While he is often compared to Simba or Mufasa from the Lion King, he just firmly tell them his true name and continues with his life. It's sort of ironic, since Marmaduke is also a famous Great Dane, but he really don't care. He goes by many nicknames, such as Duke, Duckie/Duck, Marma, Marmalade and so on.

Marmaduke is often teased with this sentence, just because his likes, dislikes and personality are all over the place. He is brutally honest and arrogant/rash, which leads others to think of him as rude and generally mean. Some of his other negative traits are hard-headed, grumpy and irritated easily.
"Loyal like a lion."
While he is all that, Marmaduke be really thoughtful and a sweetie, even if he won't admit it. He is often considered loyal, and sticks to the saying 'family are the ones you are closest too.' Anyone under his wing, is going to have a hard time getting out, because he is fearlessly protective. He is often seen rushing to a friends help, and after it's all over, saying he wasn't worried at all and just blushing.
"Kind of a nervous wreck."
Finally, Duckie has loads of neutral traits. Most that stand out are his nervousness around his crushes, his fear of humiliation, and his aggressive protection. He also is quite childish due to his YFS, but that is often overlooked since it only comes out when he's near friends.

AHHHH! I can't get it to work! Please, bear with me for a few days....

Oh, hello there! My personality you say? Ok then!
Well, I believe myself to be a kind and likable person, that's why I have lots of friends. I'm quite a loud bean so people will normally have to speak up if they want to get a word into my conversation, but they all tell me that that's fine by them because we can't change who we are!
I absolutely adore soft objects, for example my tail or cuddly toys (I do have one, he's a green snake!). They just make my paws tingle with pure delight on the impact of touching them! I could sit there for hours doing nothing but stroking my soft toy in my arms. Especially when I get a bit moody, which doesn't happen often, but when I do...believe me, you don't really want to be there! I wish I didn't have anger problems but it's ok, I guess, seen as it only happens occasionally.
Oh, and let me get this straight, I know it sounds a little strange, but I hate cake! Absolutely hate it! I find it too...dry and...cakey. Don't get me wrong I love making it and I love the taste of the mixture, but when it is actually a...cake, the texture puts me off.
My favourite animals include:
Snakes because, well, my adorable cuddly toy is one.
Butterflys, they're so PURRDDDY!

Bongani which means "be grateful" in Zulu.






Well to say Bongani isn't the smartest would be rather true. He's not the most intelligent JBD on the block, but you can bet he's the happiest. The term "K.I.S.S" or "Keep It Simple Stupid" certainly shows that. Bongani knows he isn't smart and honestly for him that's okay. He purposely tries not to be the smartest. He's seen how stressed very intelligent JBDs can be and honestly it hurts his head to think about how complicated life can be. So instead he prefers the simple, plain things in life. Like waking up. The fact that you woke up today and had some rest is an accomplishment and he knows that because while he was waking up someone else was going to sleep. Life is simply simple if you keep it that way and that's the way Bongani likes it best.


He's a klutz, I'm not going to lie. His paws are a bit too big and he tends to trip over them very often. His mother found it terribly endearing however and often called him "The One Who Falls Often" or "The Bean With Four Left Feet" and honestly she wasn't the only one. His clumsiness tends to make him seem helpless and often time others rush to his rescue. He's hardly helpless, but his clumsy nature makes him appear younger than he is. But don't let it fool you. Bongani can get into trouble just as quickly as any teen.


Now a lot of the time others mistake him for harmless. Let me just go ahead and correct that right now. Don't think that this adorable, fluffy guy can't fight. You'd be in for a world of pain otherwise. Especially if it's for someone he loves or cares for. Gani's real protective of those he calls friends and family and if you're worthy enough to be considered either or both than you'd better realize how great of a friend you've got. Gani won't stop trying to keep you safe until he's positive either you can handle it on your own, or that you won't get hurt. Sometimes it makes him a bit overbearing but he doesn't mean to be. He just wants for everyone to be safe.


Gani is too much sometimes. And in those times many find him to be, well, very child-like. Innocent. Sweet. As if life hasn't yet grasped him and made him older or tired. Gani just is too innocent. Many think him as pure, like snow untouched. Others think of him as their little one to look after, despite him feeling it's quite the opposite. It's just the way he seems so amazed or delighted but little things, simple things as if they're something huge despite others having seen and used them a thousand times makes hearts melt and even the hardest of shells crack. His protective and clumsy nature only makes it even more endearing and those that he meets always seem to remember him as the "Innocent" one.
