Name: Amity
Gender: female
Poem:
I stand at last, rubbing my eyes,
The screen has kept past my time,
I glance away, and then back again- to my surprise-
The screen has become a hole colored like a lime.
I peek my head in, wary,
Remembering Alice in Wonderland,
Her adventures seemed quite scary,
But perhaps I have the upper hand?
For I am not asleep,
I wake, I think, I am,
If I'm gone, nobody shall weep,
For I'll be back before the rooster wakes the lamb.
Daring, brave, bold,
I step through the hole,
The ground beneath me hold,
My delicate, quivering soul.
I step again, then some more,
A light shines at the end,
The vibrant textures of the floor,
Onwards, forwards, I send.
Coherentness is not my goal,
Gibberish surrounds,
Mystique clouds every hole,
But if you dare to look, you'll be surprised at what you've found.
