            Username
Whiskey Lullaby, but feel free to just call me Whiskey. ^^

            Name
Caspian. No specific reason, though there is the 'Caspian Sea.' It is located in northern Iran and is the largest lake in the world. The claim that Lewis "created" the name is misleading at best. As the previous commenter noted, the Caspian Sea was named that before Lewis created the character. He may have been the first to use it as a person's name. Apparently the word "Caspian" comes from the the city of Qazvin (Kasbin), which was named after the Cas, a tribe that lived south of the Caspian Sea. In recent years, there was a song released by the band The Velvet Teen called "Caspian Can Wait" about a boy longing to create a better world. It's a really great song, good lyrics. It's made me really love the name, however, I always thought it was better-suited for a guy. So, this JBD would indeed be a male. ^^

M Y - P O E M ?

Fly Away, Fly Away.
You've caused me more pain than I can take,
Please, stop, for my sake?
Bu of course, I forget you don't care,
you just look at me numbly & stare.
You're hurting me mother, can't you see?
Your words are stinging like a bee.
I'm sitting here with open wounds,
Yet your leaving me looking like some loon.

I'm telling the truth & trying to get away,
Yet your telling them lies & keeping me at bay.
Mother, open your eyes & try to see?
Can't you see what you're doing to me?
You're tearing me apart, & I'm bleeding out.
I'm screaming & trying to shout,
Mother can't you see I'm trying to get out?

Mother, you're no longer keeping me trapped here, I'm flying away,
I'm flying far, far away, no matter what you say.
You're no longer keeping me at bay,
& I'm no longer bleeding out, no matter what lies you say.
I've bandaged my wounds, & I'm taking flight.
I've tasted love, & I've tasted freedom, they're my only delights.
To you, they're sins because of everywhere you've been.
You're no longer playing me like like I'm some kind of violin
You're too far gone, there's no saving you,
I'm sorry to leave you trapped, for this is true,
But I must spread my wings and take flight.
I'll fly far, far away, as high as a kite.

Today my mother, I start my adventure,
I'll fly, fly, fly, all over the world, take it on, and venture.
I'll go to every continent,
And hold my head up high as I heal my wounds, hurting you was an accident,
Though I thoroughly enjoy being free.
Free to fly as high as a kite or as low as a bee.

It's been a few years, mother, wouldn't you say?
I shall venture to where you now lay,
I wonder if you ever got away?
Was it too late, or did you get the chance to fly away?
Fly away, Fly away.

I'm now visiting the Caspian sea, mother, just as you once wanted,
Before you got addicted, remember, before what you once did- taunted?
I remember you named me after this sea,
Though I wish my memories would just let me be.
So I'll just lie here, in the warm sand,
The sun beating down, the waves a band.
This has been some adventure, mother.
Am even bigger one just being here without you, though you always were a trader.
You could be here,
You could be here drinking a beer,
but you got hooked.
You left me all alone- feeling overlooked.
This life has been some adventure mother.
Fly away, Fly away.

The forest is a different place at night.

Also, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM EATING ME
AND MY MINIONS!
Yes, we understand that we are muffins,
but we are not edible, we are evil!
Being eaten always takes away precious
time and resources, as well as degrades
our honor. So please, if you value your
life and your goodness as a person,
don't eat the muffins. Please. For
your sake, and ours.

Name: Ptolmey
Gender: male
Poem:
Every night i look out and i see the moon,
The beautiful moon,
The peaceful moon.
With all its many stars,
It shines so lightly on us,
You almost never want to fus under it.

But every night i look in i see fighting,
Clashing and words flying,
Stabbing words that are dying,
Dying to stab at each other.
The worst part is from where it comes,
From the ones you expect to look up to,
My parents stabbed at each other with those dying words.

It made me so mad to see it,
But at the same time sad,
I never knew what was next.
So for a bit,
I went,
And decided to not go back.

I always let the moon guide me, never the sun.
The sun was harsh like the words.
Till' one day i realized i missed them,
The day and sun werent always harsh,
Neither were they.

So i followed the path,
My path, and folowed it home.
They even smiled at my return,
And even though there are no more dying words,
The sun and the moon still shine,
And so do we.

'Twas when the sun peaked in the sky.
Half-way done it's arc until it lies,
Below the horizon and under the hills
Behind the cavern that my heart fills,

    The cave was a treasure,
    Value beyond measure,
"I'm off on a trip, just a stroll."
In truth, I satisfy my soul,

    Loneliness is hard to find,
In a place where all have lost their minds,
Though they babble away at me,
    I long for quiet privacy.

I grip the stone covered in grime,
To my cave is where I climb,
    Their voices fade with altitude,
I know I've reached my solitude.

Name:
Mora

Gender:
Female

Poem:
I ounce went sailing on a bay,
Hoping I wouldn't sail to far away.
The waves got to treacherous and swept me away,
Its like the water wanted to play.

I washed up on some strange shore that very day,
Something felt very array.
I looked around feeling hopeless,
But there's one thing couldn't help but notice.

That others seemed to have come here from the sea,
I was just hoping my fate wasn't to be.
Lost forever here far from home,
Stuck forever to roam.

After shelter and gathering food,
I hoped my rescue would come soon.
The next day I arose still no signs of hope,
It made me want to mope.

I tried to fix my boat but it was far to broken,
This was my only home token.
I managed to makeshift a raft,
As the tide was rising fast.

I clinged to my bored with all my might,
The island sank behind me instantly giving me a fright.
I managed to get home a bit scared and wet,
But I am always willing to bet.

That this island teaches you a lesson,
What you have is always a blessing.
At any moment it cant be taken away,
Leaving you at wits bay.

I walk alone on the edge of a snow covered hill
the trees whisper their secrets to me through the howling wind.
I watch the earth slowly opening his eye and adjusting to
the hustle and bustle of the world.
His eyes the colors of salmon pink and red, specks of orange and gold.
i lay supine on the cold firm earth I hear the worms making little homes
beneath the soil and think to myself how nice it would be to escape under
the earth and live with the worms.

"Hello there my friend. My name is Ivaebhin. Odd name? Well it should be and it's just as exotic as I am. It means 'Boy filled with brightness' in our language. I also have nicknames. Some others call me Ivae'ess, due to me being full of light. It means 'Light bringer'. My simplest nickname though is just Ivae, which means 'Light'. "

Image
"Do not mistake my color for my gender. I am a male. If I wasn't, my name would just be weird."

Image
"This poem came from an interesting night of mine when I was young. This is how I got my name and I will gladly keep it."

A New Light
In the misty night of summer I trudge,
Wandering through a new world of wonder around me,
Going through troubles that may not budge,
And the only thing the eye may see.

I walk into the forest that is so grand, yet so dark of green,
The colors faded by the cold, black night,
The moon covered by the clouds so gray,
It will be a long journey until the slightest break of day.

Whispers follow me into the dark forest,
Whispering my name in my ears like a non stopping shriek that only grew louder in the silence,
'Ivae…Ivae…' it spoke in my ear,
I stop and listen to the small bit of wind.

I blink and I start once again through the trails of the trees,
Stopping and looking as I hear it again,
'Ivae…' it repeats once again in my ear,
I hurry my pace through the bushes ahead.

The leaves parted easily for my fur and me,
Up ahead a light glimmered bright in the night,
An owl hooted and it made my fur stand,
I wondered what would be in store for me than.

Mist was collecting with each step I took toward it,
A branch snapped under my paw,
It created just enough noise to make me flinch,
I looked around but saw nothing but trees.

The whispers started there again,
'Ivae…' It called again,
The voice was louder this time and I knew only one thing,
I was getting closer to it or it was getting closer to me.

I took a moment to pause in my dreadful fear,
What lies ahead? I asked my self as I began again,
Through the bushes and the trail ahead,
Toward the glowing in the dark trees.

A light is all I saw,
It was blue like the sky and yet misty like the morning,
It seemed off to me, almost ghostly,
But what did the light mean to do? And with me?

'Ivae…' it whispered my name again,
I now knew that was the source of the voice,
'Ivae…protector of light…come to me…' it spoke,
And, confused and afraid, I stepped forward at a quick pace.

"What is it you want with me?" I asked with a quiver,
It only shimmered as if it did not hear,
Then it spoke loud and clear,
'You are our hope…our protector…' It replied.

I took a step back with my heart fluttering,
My eyes were confused and wary to this new phrase,
I narrow my eyes and lean forward to ask a simple question,
"Why?"

'Take us and be safe…' was the only reply I got,
And the misty light suddenly became alive,
It circled me like a bird of prey then came in,
Passing through my body to my heart.

I felt warmth fill my insides like never before,
Filled with new memories my mind was,
Those of light and hope and all that I held dear,
But I was still confused.

I tried speaking again but there was no response,
The source was gone and it was time I left as well,
I backed away a few steps from the place it had been,
Then I turned tail and retreated back into the trees.

My mind flew as I tried to put it all together,
The light felt good but I wasn't sure,
Why was I the one chosen for this mysterious deed,
And why am I the guardian? Why not someone else?

Treaking back was harder than it seemed,
The world grew heavy around me,
As if I didn't belong anymore,
And I felt my heart fluttering once more.

The light had filled me with more I realized,
Something else that is not normal,
Something else that is special,
And that's when I decided my answer.

I was no longer afraid of the hooting or the darkness around me,
Nor the dark trees and looming branches,
The night and the shadows all around me,
Never more shall I be afraid.

The light had filled me with a new courage,
One that can't be gotten rid of easily,
My purple fur shone a bit brighter than normal then,
As if I was glowing.

I smile to myself and realize what the light had done,
No more shall my fears take me in the night,
I shall be brave for the world that lives around me,
And I know now that I was meant to be the light.

Name:
    Beachee
Gender:
    Male
Poem:
I sat myself down on the soft, soft sand,
Understanding why I came to this land,
My family wanted to say 'see-ya-later',
So they sent me down here, to Australia.

It was a strange new world, all very foreign,
The mass of people looked like rabbits in their warren,
My gaze darted around, the details unfolding,
But I wanted to be in the water; the weather was smoldering!

The sandy wind in my fur, a sight to behold,
It was sticking up everywhere, I couldn't get a hold!
Flattening it down was a trouble to say the least,
I looked like a great, big, evil beast.

Shaking out the sand, I ran to the water,
Seeing families playing, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters,
This reminded me of why I was here,
But I never knew why my family wanted me to disappear...
