Following heart-breaking seconds in the Group 1 Goodwood at Morphettville and the Group II QTC Cup at Eagle Farm, the Gary Kennewell-trained Conservatorium had his moment in the sun in Saturday's $200,000 Listed City Of Ipswich Eye Liner Stakes (1350m) at Ipswich.
Conservatorium has placed five times since he his previous win, the Listed Durbridge Stakes at Morphettville back in October 2011.
His nose defeat by Galah in the QTC Cup ended connections dream of gaining a start in the Stradbroke Handicap.
Conservatorium tracked the early speed and when jockey Joe Bowditch asked the 5yo gelding to go the response was immediate."
The son of Royal Academy defeated the 7yo gelding Meet George by two lengths with Pellegrini a nose back in third.
A $50,000 purchase by his trainer from the Emerald Thoroughbred consignment at the 2009 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling sale, Conservatorium takes his overall record to 7 wins, 4 seconds and 1 third from 25 starts for earnings of $492,050.
He is the third foal of the Belong To Me (USA) mare Belong To Madam who was stakes-placed twice in Adelaide from her three career starts.
Kennewell purchased Belong To Madam's Falvelon yearling colt for $230,000 at the 2012 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling sale.
Belong To Madam was covered by Show a Heart last year having missed to the Glenlogan Park stallion the previous season.
Conservatorium comes from the 11th crop by the Coolmore stalwart Royal Academy (USA). The son of Nijinsky left 169 stakes-winners worldwide.
Pensioned following the 2009 season, Royal Academy died at Coolmore Stud in February last year after covering 14 books of mares in Australia.

What is the horse known for:
Mr. Prospector has sired more than 50 foals a year on average since he was retired to stud as a 5-year-old, and if he had his way, there would be far more. Even at age 24, which is about age 70 in human terms, he still is one of the most fertile, virile and productive studs of all time.

Thirteen of his yearlings brought an average of $636,000 at public auction last year - 25 times the national average. With 105 sons who are sires, he is within 20 victories of passing the great Nijinsky II and becoming the all-time leading sire of stakes winners.

Mr. Prospector might have rewritten history on the race track as well, for he had brilliant speed. He set track records for six furlongs that still stand at Gulfstream and Garden State Park. And he was a leading candidate to challenge the great Secretariat in the spring classics of 1973, but nagging injuries prevented it. After posting seven victories in 14 races and earning $112,000 - he was out of the money only once - he was retired.

Still no, this one is a lot more obvious than you think. You're way over thinking. What other famous bay racehorses do you know with a star?
