I know Cynder is a name meaning volcanic ash, which is the total opposite of this winter-themed Kiamara..
But I want to make my own little name origin to suit this girl if you don't mind.<3
Cynder is a name meaning mysterious and quiet.
The name "Cynder" also at the same time is elegant with a tone of a more mature and serious
matter added to it.

Cynder doesn't usually give away any information about herself,
but if you looked carefully at her
you would see that this kia is a female<3

Cynder has some personalities. Some she would share and show you while others are hard to find within her. But I'll just tell you the main traits she has.
Cynder is a very mature and wise Kiamara. You may not think so at first, but as you pay close attention to her you will realize that she has the mind unlike others. Her mind can comprehend things that others cannot about the forest, the animals, and the weather. But this only happens in winter. Due to Cynder being out in the woods alot alone, she has learned to trust her instincts and observe others and to not make their mistakes in the future. Doing this, she usually is wise from remembering the mistakes of those over the centuries told by tales of the older Kiamara that have been told over and over again. This is a good trait because the very few and little friends she has, they always seek to her for advice. Not love advice, but advice on any problem the Kia might have.
She doesn't talk much, but if you are one of the few lucky Kiamara's to get her to talk, you will tell by her body language and her tone that she is the more serious type. She takes everything seriously and carefully into matter. She won't laugh, she won't barely smile, she is just serious. This is because she feels that every Kiamara needs to know of how serious things can get. She doesn't want history to repeat itself so she remains serious, only to warn everyone of what could really happen if they aren't helpful.

While some Kiamaras are very outgoing and put themselves out there, Cynder is the type of Kiamara to just sit alone and do nothing but watch and listen. Believe me she isn't shy. When time comes she could walk up to someone and tell them off of any consequences that could follow if she got annoyed or ticked off enough. Cynder just doesn't want to know many friends. She has seen all of the rumors, what friends could do to hurt anyone they wanted to. She doesn't want that life full of drama. She wants a peaceful life to herself and a few kiamaras. The main reason is to why she is quiet is because she doesn't want to be pulled into anything she feels that she shouldn't be into, or because she is afraid that if she tried to fit in then she would only be rejected and get hurt. She didn't want that. She would let few Kiamaras around her if she permitted it. This doesn't mean she is anti-social though! She has a few very close and trustworthy friends. Her main friend is her raven named Faolan. Faolan sits either on her head or on her shoulder at all times, keeping her company and chatting away with her. Unlike Cynder, Faolan talks quite a bit which has helped Cynder adjust herself to talking a little bit more. But if it is a stranger, she won't talk to them. Just because she doesn't trust many kiamaras.
Most Kiamaras think of Cynder as a mysterious type of Kia. Cynder considers herself that also because she never tells anyone anything about her, and she often sneaks around alot at night, making her look as if she is up to something that she doesn't want anyone to know. Since everyone thinks of her as mysterious she may appear to have a scary and negative energy nearby her. She wears her black cloak, she's out at night, she has a raven on her, she's serious, who wouldn't first think of her as that? Cynder likes being mysterious though. Some Kias start talking about her every once and awhile and she likes the feeling that at least she's starting to get them to notice her. This is good because she's hoping that if she gets noticed enough then she will be able to convince them to listen to her about the past and of the mistakes that many made centuries ago.
If there is one thing though, it is that you can depend on Cynder with anything. If it's running an errand to someone, or keeping a life-threatening secret. Most know this because Cynder proved herself worthy when she once had to go get a secret herb to help save someone. Many saw this and then knew that they can trust her. Now these days she gets requests every once and awhile to go and send some messages to a certain someone. She's mainly a messenger and she loves it. She can be alone, feeling the wind on her and watch as she speeds by everything. Sometimes she takes her time though to enjoy the scene. But not once has she let down someone and she doesn't plan on starting right now.
Cynder is a very determined person. If she has to persuade someone of not doing something bad, or if she feels an urge that she has to do something, she won't give up easily. Usually you'll have to argue and even then you would hardly ever win. When she wants something or feels that something bad will happen, there is no stopping her. This is very good though because it shows her friends that she cares for others, even if she doesn't like to show it in the most obvious way.
Now this personality is very rare to see. Cynder hides most of her emotions. Especially this one. She is scared that everyone will make fun of her for being elegant coming from a cabin in the woods. She doesn't show it much during the day, but every night she will sneak out through the woods to the icy pond in the winter and ice skate. She feels that ice skating expresses herself. The true self. She will often look like a ballerina from the distance, twirling away with her silver-laced ribbons. Sometimes she will skate images into the ice of what she feels. But most of the time she just skates all night long, even if there is a winter blizzard hitting her. After she ice skates she would sit on her favorite cliff edge and stare at the stars and constellations, thinking of ancestors and those who have died to keep her generation living on.

Here are the main things that Cynder likes:

Cynder doesn't like alot of things. But I'll just give you a brief list of what she doesn't like.Extremely hot weatherRumorsRain/cloudy daysTalkingAnything really loudLarge crowdsBeing proven wrongShowing her emotionsBut the thing she hates the most...Is when it is time for winter to go.. And all of the pretty snow and ice thaw out for spring to come. </3

Cynder looks like she is in her early 20's but really, she is a young 17 year old Kiamara! This may be because she is more wise, she never talks, she wears a black cloak, and she has a raven on her back, giving her the appearance of an older Kiamara of in her 20's-mid 30's. But once her cloak is taken off you can see a childish yet very mature look to this girl.

Unlike most kiamara's who's hobbies might be swimming, or writing, working out, etc. Cynder has some... Very unique hobbies.

Cynder was born and raised with a family of 5. Her mom, dad, older brother, and younger sister. She lives under very strict rules and still does. At least, it seems so with her. If her brother get in trouble her father blames it on Cynder. If her little sister does something wrong then she will throw a hissy fit, sobbing and say that Cynder did it. So Cynder has had a pretty rough time in the house. She usually escapes it by sneaking out later in the day and goes on strolls to forget everything. Every once and awhile she will bring home some more things for her many collections. One year on her 13th birthday her parents gave her a pet raven. She got used to it and now Cynder has a pal to always look towards. No one knows that the raven can talk, not even her family. They like to keep it their own little secret, so no one will take her friend from her to try and figure out how exactly it can talk. Believe it or not Cynder is quite rebellious when it comes to her family. If she is sent to her room she will put her foot down and say no. If she gets lectured she will just tune them out angerily. She has a very short temper when it comes to her family now and has a complete opposite side of herself when it comes to them. Still being the mature one out of the 3 siblings, she often annoys her parents by proving them wrong. Not to please herself, but to show them that they are wrong. This only results in more anger from the parents and they usually ground her. Later on as she grew up and became more responsible she was trusted more and got to go out more often without punishment. She still has times as to when she can leave and come back but they wont constantly pelt her with questions now. Cynder is happy for this and now enjoys her quiet life alot better than she had used to.

"My favorite thing about winter hmm?" She said thoughtfully, taking her cloak off so her audience could see her. "There are many things that I like about winter. For example. The delicate snowflakes, the snowglobes, the cool breeze, ice sculpting... I think you get the point. But my favorite thing about winter is the scenery. Why may you ask? Well if you were put in my position of nonstop drama and punishments, you would want some peace and quiet now wouldn't you? Everyone needs a break every once and awhile. If you walk outside deep into the woods and pause just for a moment, all you would hear is a cool breeze, and maybe a bird or two singing their favorite winter song. It is so quiet in the forest in winter because it is when all or most of the animals have gone to a more... Warmer place or have gone to sleep. Now if you don't like the beauty of quiet that is fine. We all have our opinions. But there is also the scenery. The pine cone trees blanketed in snow, all traces of fall gone... The gorgeous icicles that form off of the branches, the frozen river, it is endless beauty let me tell you that much. The scenery also gives you a chance to make it as beautiful as you want it to be. Like you can make a snowman and name it, even give it a personality! Or you can use your paw to draw in the snow of your best friend or maybe a crush. That is the good thing about snow. You can show yourself truly using mother nature. These are the reasons as to why I just love the scenery in winter." She put her hood back on and stalked off into the woods looking around carefully at every detail.

"So you want to hear a story about me huh..?" She frowned now thinking of a good story. "Alright, fine I'll tell you. Only because I was promised a phoenix's feather and I need it. Anyways! You know my raven Faolan, right??? Well when I first got him I absolutely hated him! I bet that's a shocker for you. So how are we exactly friends now may you ask? Well it all started back on my birthday. Saturday, December 29th. It was my 13th birthday..." She trailed off then started to go into the real story.I had just woken up to hear a crash downstairs. I moaned as I pictured my sister breaking a plate or something. I wasn't in the mood to hear my parents yell at me today.. Then I jolted up, suddenly realizing what day it was. "It's my birthday finally!" I said cheerfully to myself hopping out of my bed and making it. "Maybe they will cut me some slack today" I say brushing my hair. I looked outside. It was snowing and it looked so beautiful outside. I couldn't wait to go explore some more. Recently I had found an abandoned treehouse and I've been making my own little settlement there to escape my life here. Finally putting the brush down I went downstairs. I frowned looking around. There was no mess, and no one was in sight. It was quiet for once in the cabin. I walked into the living room a bit worried. "Hello...? Anyone home?" I called out quietly looking around. Then I heard a rustle and looked to see a cape over something hanging by the lamp. I walked over to it to see a ribbon and "To Cynder: From mom, dad, bro, and little sis." on it. I looked curiously at the weird shaped present before taking the cape off. I blinked at the present. And it blinked back at me putting full attention on me. It was a raven sitting in a cage. I poked the cage and heard footsteps coming in. "I see you found your birthday present Cyn." That was my father. He usually called me Cyn, short for Cynder. He's the only guy that I know that calls me that. "Yea I guess.." I said looking at it still. "Thanks for getting me a raven for my birthday! I love you guys." I turned to them to see them frowning. "What?" I say looking confused. "This isn't just any birthday present dear."My mother says. "Your offically 13 now. The year that most Kiamara learn that they have responsibility." She says. "So me and your father went to a special store and bought this raven for you to take care of. You must feed it, water it, clean it, and provide it a bed all by yourself. If you can take care of it then me and your father decided to let you go explore longer than you usually do." She said not taking her eye off of me. I sighed. I knew there was a catch to this present. There always was. But my heart skipped a beat. More "time to myself!" I thought to myself happily. "Alright, thanks guys!" I say opening up the cage. The raven flew out and landed on my shoulder. "Well Im going out for a walk now!" I said to my parents as I walked outside and into the snow. It was a beautiful day and I was excited to go explore some more. Suddenly I felt the raven sink its talons into my fur. "Ow hey! Mind it will you?!" I say turning around glaring at it. "Your going to hurt me and my precious fur." I say annoyed then I turned back around and walked around slowly looking at the beautiful scenery. It left me alone for sometime. But I was getting sick of the extra weight on my back. "Ok the rides' up!" I say shaking it off. It flew to the branch in front of me and stared at me. "Uh.. You can follow." I walked past it and found my treehouse and climbed up in it and curled up. The raven had followed and it landed on the window. "What is with you staring at me?!" I said hiding my face now as I remembered how all of the other kias had looked at me. Then suddenly I couldn't stand it anymore. "Just go away!!! Your just like the others! Laughing and pointing at my odd-colored fur!" I ran out of the treehouse sobbing. And let me tell you at the moment I was so upset and ignorant.. I hadn't noticed where I was going. I still regret the day of my foolishness of only 3 years ago it happened. Anyways continuing on! I ran right smack into a bear. I stopped crying and looked up at it and my eyes got huge as it let out an angry roar. I slowly backed away, my legs trembling then I ran away as fast as I could, it close to my tail. I panicked as I had noticed that I have never been this far into the forest. It reminded me of a graveyard. It just had this eerie feeling to it. Suddenly I had ran to a steep cliff. I looked around panicked as I saw the bear still coming for me hungry. It must have been still awake and wanting food for its hibernation. And I was going to be its dinner. "Help! Someone please help!!" I screamed as loud as I could. I watched the bear get on its hide legs, only 3 feet away from me. I braced myself suddenly ready to die for the mistake I had made. Then a miracle happened. The raven had followed me and was now using its talons to claw its muzzle and its back. The bear roared in fury and was clawing aimlessly at the air. The raven swiped its talons at its eyes and blinded it. Then it looked at me with its dark blue eyes and I instantly knew that this was my chance to escape. I ran past the blinded bear and safely away from the cliff. I sat down in the snow and watched the bear fall over the cliff. I stared in horror as I thought that it could have been me if it hadn't been for the raven. It flew back to me and it landed perfectly on the snow staring at me expectantly. "Th-thank you... Maybe your not so bad afterall.." I managed to say still in shock. But that didn't last long. I got up and grinned at it finally made with a decision. "Your going to be my new friend." I said. Even if you can't talk you can still listen! And you won't leave me either." I smiled warmly at it as I felt the feeling for the first time of not having someone leave me. "Come on, you can sit on my head if you'd like." I laughed putting my hood up as it landed on my head. I started to walk again looking at the forest. "It's beautiful, isn't it? I mean... Words can't even express how I feel for this forest.... Just that I feel as if I am apart of it..." I smiled now starting to walk at a brisk pace. I needed to get back home before I was in trouble. Then I suddenly realized that my new friend needed a name. "You need a name!" I told it and stopped. It flew to a nearby branch near me and looked as if it was ready for me to say a name. "Hmm..." I thought for a long moment. Then I remembered my favorite grandpa's owl he had owned. It was always on his shoulder and he had called it Faolan. It had always hooted to.. It was the only other living creature that had liked me also. I looked at the raven and had decided it will be called that. "On thy name of your friend Cynder, I shall now bestow you of a name! A name that shall represent you in pride and in any way you desire to look at it!" I giggled then stopped, wanting to be serious. "So I shall now name you Faolan!" It nodded its head looking thoughtful and then it saw a mouse and dived and killed it. I looked at the blood and frowned. "Another life is gone but for a good reason. The Blood is shed but won't bring war." I said frowning seriously. I didn't mean to say it but it certainly got Faolan's full attention. He looked at me with a look that he knew something that I didn't. He knew I was special. And I had pondered about why he looked at me like that to this very day. He always had told me, "You'll figure it out sooner or later." And I finally had a year ago. But I can't tell you that now or it would ruin the story. Anyways sorry back to the story. I had frowned at him. "What? Is there something wrong?" I asked him. Of course there was followed silence because he didn't talk. "Oh well." Faolan was looking at me really amused and I grinned at him. "Oh come on we need to go before we are both in trouble!" He flew on my shoulder and I ran straight back to the house, the entire time telling Faolan all about myself.

Finally after some time I came back into the house. "I'm back guys!" I said. My mother and father were glaring at me. My little sister only said "Uh oh!" and my brother just looked at me, I was unable to read their faces. "And where have you been?" That was my father. "I was explore-" I was cut off by my furious mother. "You skipped lunch and you just now missed dinner! You should have been back nearly 8 hours ago!!!" She screamed at me. My ears lowered as I felt guilty. It was my birthday though and I should be able to have freedom for at least one day without punishment. Faolan just sat there listening. "Your grounded. Your not allowed to go exploring anymore! Not until your old enough to live on your own!" She glared at me as my father silently nodded. "WHAT?! You can't do this to me!!" I ran up to my room sobbing. I lost track of time but it must have been hours of me crying. I was going to miss feeling the snow on my paws, the cool winds brushing me and my fur. And I was really going to miss showing Faolan around the place. It really was pretty and now it was all gone!

I woke up feeling Faolan tapping my head and muzzle. "What..?" I say wiping my eyes. I was crying even in my sleep. Faolan flew to the window and sat there. It was late at night and the moon and stars were shining. Without warning Faolan flew out the window and landed on a branch, expectantly waiting on me. I looked around and then quietly I put on my black cloak and snuck outside, grabbing my ice skates before doing so. Faolan seemed to want to take me somewhere as he was flying in front of me at a quick pace. I ran after him, my paws barely hitting the snow. After what it seemed like an eternity he finally stopped and landed on a branch. We were at a huge frozen lake in the middle of the woods. I gasped. "But how did you know I like to ice skate?" I asked him as I put them on. I went on the ice and closed my eyes as I ice skated. I let my body do whatever it wanted. I threw off my cloak and started humming happily, feeling as if I was finally a part of the winter forest itself. Faolan flew above me and started to fly around me and it suddenly felt as if we were one. I was ice skating on the ice expressing myself and Faolan was beside me helping me all along the way. Finally when we were done I had drawn the Winter Solstice. I got off of the snow and was taking off of my ice skates as I looked at the drawing. "Oh my it looks.... Cosmical.." I said using the word thoughtfully. It really was beautiful. It showed the stars, the position of the earth and moon, and some snowflakes. Faolan nodded to himself, finally confirming his question of trust to me. Suddenly the unexpected happened! "And only a Kiamara like you Cynder would draw such a thing on mother nature." Faolan told me. My eyes widened in shock. "You can talk?! But how? Why didn't you talk sooner??" I looked at him now my mind racing. I was simply amazed to find out that he talked. Faolan tilted his head before answering. "Of course I can talk, I just don't talk often around everyone. How would you feel to be taken away from and to be asked millions of questions on upon how I can talk? It wouldn't be fun let me tell you that much. And why would I risk exposing myself to a Kiamara that hated my guts for absolutely no reason??? I don't just go talking to anyone you know, you have to be special enough for me to talk to." He looked at me and my ears lowered feeling bad. "Sorry..." Is all I said before thinking of something. "Wait special? How am I special?" Faolan flew up to my muzzle and looked me in the eye. Suddenly I knew everything Faolan knew. I saw his past, I could feel his feelings, I could even tell what he was thinking. I knew everything about him and he knew everything about me. I then knew that we were spiritually connected beyond comprehension. Then Faolan stopped looking at me and I stopped feeling everything he felt. He then explained himself. "I'm an ancient raven that helped your ancestors win and lose many battles. At the time I was young and foolish. And those were hard times upon all of us. Now my previous owner was starting to go into madness from all of the war and was slowly dying. We were out on the field fighting the monsters and all of evil when he was shot and fell, dying. I flew to him and he told me to go to a girl named Cynder. She will be a light colored Kiamara and she will know most about us. I thought he had gone off the deep end until recently when your parents bought me. When I saw them I knew that you were nearby... And when I first saw you I knew we were linked. But was it an energy of good or bad? I didn't know so I observed you all day... And I understood your childhood..-" I interrupted him. I felt like I had aged by 10 years hearing all of this. Yet I pictured all of it perfectly and I now was serious on this matter. "And you saw me leave sobbing, your got worried and followed me and saved me basically." I said to him. "Somehow I understand all of this.." I went on. "Like this is destiny for me to know all of this." Faolan then responded nodding. "Your not like the ancestors though. Your inbetween. You have the spirit and soul of one, but your intelligence and caution to things will help you mend their mistakes so history won't be rewritten. You are a living legend, Cynder. You truly understand what it feels like to be whole and to be apart of mother nature. You continue to tell of the stories of the ancestors so no one will make their mistakes in the future." I nodded to him now very thoughtful to all of this. "We should get going." Faolan said as he started to fly back. "No." I said to him as I walked off the other way. "At least not yet... I have an urge to do something. Something that has been needed to be done since today." I said to him as I walked to the cliff. Faolan looked amused as he knew what was going to happen. She was going to preform a ritual so the bear spirit will peacefully go into the stars and become whole with the universe. He was proud of her. He knew that one day she would change the way that the universe looked at the ancestors and the earth. I sat down and looked at the ground gravely, then suddenly I tilted back my head and looked at the pretty aurora and I talked to myself for a moment. "The ancestors are acknowledging my existence today on my birthday it seems." Then I closed my eyes and let out a loud and very long howl. It sounded beautiful. It was strong, bold, graceful, and yet delicate at the same time. Faolan landed on my shoulder as he looked down at the bear and watched its soul go up into the stars. He listened to Cynder's beautiful song that really had came out of her heart and smiled to himself. He knew that he was going to have a good friend to live with forever. I got up after I was done howling and started to walk back towards the house, thinking of all of the events that had happened today. Finally we got back to my room and I fell asleep watching as the silver and dark blue aurora faded away.

The raven nodded his head towards the audience then he pecked her ear. "Oh! That reminds me we need to get going. I need to deliver a message to a little boy to let him know that his parents are alright. Well fairwell!" She ran off not wanting to explain the story more than she needed to or answer any questions.
