I walked through the pound, excitement tingling through my veins. “Hello!” A friendly lady called out to me; I smiled. “Looking for a dog I see! Well come through – right this way!”

“Oh how rude of me, I forgot to ask your name! Well please introduce yourself…”

Hey I’m 42. I’m a current non-owner though I have tried for many a kia before. I’m hoping to make this gorgeous creature my first; and if not, I’m sure they’ll go to a good home!

I followed the lady, jumping with excitement. I had waited a long time to adopt a dog of my own and now that the time had finally come I was ecstatic with hyper energy. “So, are you looking for anything in particular?” the lady asked, smiling as she said hello to dog after dog that surrounded us – trapped in lonely cages. “Well… I was looking for… perhaps… HER! SHE’S THE ONE! PLEASE HER!!!” I was cut off mid-sentence by my own excitement. Yes she was the one, a stunning aussie merle! “Well her… she’s not entirely doglike, we’re not sure exactly what she is.” I looked at the stunning creature, indeed it was not entirely canine; a long tufted tail, a shaggy, soft mane. “I don’t mind” I said, “She is the one”.

N A M E;;
I would call this stunning girl ‘Marlene’. Why? I’m not sure, she just looks like a Marlene to me though you can just call her Mar for short.

“Marlene?” the lady asked, “Yes Marlene” I replied “It fits”. I scribbled her name on the adoption papers with an excitable flourish. “Very well” The lady handed me a copy of the papers, a lead, and finally my new pet Marlene.

With....name ,, -still deciding. This Kiamara reminded me of my favourite type of dog, the Australian Shepherd. So I looked up how to say Australian Shepherd in another language. It came up with results for only German Shepherd. But none of those names fitted this Kia, so I decided to search up 'paws' for something dog-like but I didn't like any of the results either. So I thought- Australian Shepherds are different with their motley coat, so I decided to search up 'different'. These results were also not satisfying, so seeing different, I thought of the Sark from The Wolves Of The Beyond Stories. I thought of calling her The Sark just Sark- but that didn't seem to fit. So then I searched up Sark in a different language, but nothing came up. So I went back to my earlier focus on the word 'different' and in the language Finnish, I found the word Eri. It seemed to nearly suit her, but not quite. I needed a name to really suit this Kia. Thinking of The Sark, I thought of fire....................that's all I've got up to (still havn't found a name!)

Sorry if I put any words spelt wrongly in the rest of my form...I am very young.
