"Winning Streak"
The moon gleaming full from the mouth of the cave cast a white glow, brightening everything up. The drip of water echoed, filling the ears nine happy beans.
"On your mark, get set.." A rough voice called, "..Go!"
At the sound of the last word, the nine dispersed, and the drips melted into a countdown. 5..4..3..2..1. The big red-eyed bean dramatically whipped his head left, then right, before looking up.
"Found you Puffle!" The fluffy bean flashed a gleeful grin down at dad, static flowing through his fur.
Wow, Pandora thought, looking up from her spot and shaking her head in mock disappointment, that little show-off. She shook her head in reconsideration, actually no, he was found first, so I guess not. Pan peeked out from her spot once more, to see that Momma was found! She crinkled her nose when she saw Pops and Momma smooch.
One by one, eventually each bean was found, except two. However, her siblings were no match for her during a competition. No one could end her winning streak, she had complete faith.
But faith wasn't having any of Pandora. She popped out of her place and tried to run for it when Pops had caught her by the scruff of her neck with a muffled chuckle. My streak is over, my legacy is over. Pandora's face sagged, and she choked down her sadness with quiet coughs and wheezes. Finally, she was set down back into her old hiding spot. She felt deflated.
"I think we'll let this one slide." Pops gave her a wink, and trotted away, the game continued like nothing happened.

"Partners in Crime"
The smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies floated down through the air, and into the nostrils of Pandora and friend Walnut. It took a minute for the scent to register, but once registered the duo were on their feet very swiftly. Through sniffing, and following, the gals located the source to a high window, where the plate was sitting on the ledge to cool. Their gaze was directed upward, to a tree close to the open window.. close enough to reach the treats..
One look from Walnut, and Pandora knew they were thinking the same thing. The tree would be easy enough to climb, and up on the branch would be a perfect place to snatch the cookies. She smirked deviously to Walnut, who returned the smile, which meant one thing in the unspoken language of Waldort; Race ya!
Pandora flung herself with all her might towards the tree, getting a good head start before she heard Walnut catching up behind her. They made it to the tree at about the same time, but Pandora was the first one up the tree. She was natural at climbing, which made up for her being a slow runner. Pandora sped up the bark, making sure to kick off a piece of wood to slow Walnut down.
From the top of the tree, Pandora could see the world. She could see above the once seemingly tall houses. The sight of the sun setting behind them was breathtaking.
"It's amazing isn't it?" asked Walnut, having climbed next to her. Pan nodded. They sat, appreciating the view before a gust of wind sent the smell of cookies up to them.
"Oh yeah! The cookies!" they exclaimed in unison.
"I'll swing you down, you grab the cookies, and we're out! Sound good?" Pandora said, concentrated and calculating, " Keep the cookies in your pouch and I'll swing you back up."
"Sure," Walnut nodded.
With her tail wrapped around the branch, and paws on Walnut's tail; Pandora pushed herself off the branch, free-falling for a second before they were stopped by Pandora's tail.
"Too far," Walnut whispered to Pandora, "Can't reach!"
Pandora slid her tail across the branch, shuffling down to the thinner side. The branch sagged under their weight, putting them in better reach of the cookies. Pandora heard a shuffle and a clatter below her, and looked down to see Walnut quickly stuffing her pouch with the loot. Then there was a shout from inside.
"We're screwed."
PlayDoh Bean!
Front -- Belly -- Bird's Eye -- Face -- Left Side -- Right Side![]()
I made a 3" tall, 5" long, and 1" wide playdoh model of this bean. The colors aren't super accurate, but I did what I could with the materials I had. I went outside and cracked some icicles off the side of the house for the first image, the second on was just a hill of snow for her to "snowboard". In both images she's in/on a plastic measuring cup. Pretty adventurous she is. xD
