Named so for the musical artist, Janis Joplin.
A lover of freedom and known as "The Queen of Psychedelic Soul."
Upon seeing this kia, I was strangely reminded of her.

Poem:I, myself, have stood at this edge before
In dark dreams, playing it out in glitched frames
A fleeting thought in my mind, it has bore
At my heart, shadowed poison arrow aims
Peering down from my perch atop skylines
The arrow is loosed, striking with black words
Struck hard, is this what my fate designs
Falling e’er faster, directed earthwards
But I shall ne’er hit the ground, I defy
For around me do friends always appear
To carry me onwards, like wrens we fly
Off to safe havens where resides no fear
When we stand at the edge of destruction
Our friends, like saviors, provide obstruction
The theme is the effects of loneliness,
though the theme can be interpreted multiple ways.
Congratulations! I cannot apologize enough for this taking so long…there's no good reason that I can give you. I'd like to compliment you all because I had a good time reading through all these poems.
I'd like to also give an honorable mention to shibuki whose poem I also enjoyed.
Thank you!
