_______Explanation;; I originally thought of naming her Cali, after the California Sea Lion, but I thought that was a bit generic. I then said the name out loud, to see if I would really be fine with that name, and immediately thought of the Kallie. It's not too unique, but I do quite like the name and thought that it was fitting!
Her last name, Kaihohonu, is Hawaiian for "deep ocean".

Brief History;;

_______A few months after Kallie was born, her mother left in the middle of the night and never came back, leaving her to be raised by her dad alone. Probably because her mother didn't want to settle down and become a housewife, but no one really bothered to even touch the subject.
Although her dad loved her dearly, he could barely manage to keep himself afloat, and much less a little one as well, so he felt it was best to find her a new family. Kallie ended up being adopted with an older couple who already had had two children, both grown up and moved out. It went smoothly from the start, the little girl settled in like she had been there all of her life. Everyone was enchanted by her sweet and shy demeanor, and she loved every aspect of her new life.
After Kallie had grown into a fine young lady, she decided to pursue a career. She had always been especially fascinated with biology and other sciences, so decided to go to college. Managing to get a scholarship to a reputable college in Florida once she had turned 17, she immediately moved into one of the dormitories and began her studies.
It wasn't all fun and games for her at the college, and she nearly flunked all of her classes in the first semester. Thankfully, right before failing she met someone who was willing to

Her parents never did gather the heart to tell her that she wasn't biologically related to them or the rest of her family, so they always hoped that Kallie would eventually notice how different she is from them on her own. But she never did make the connection, and still has no clue about her birth parents.

Childhood Whimsies;;

_______When Kallie was little she was obsessed with anything shiny and pretty. Seabird feathers especially fascinated her, with the simplistic patterns and charming sheen. As a result, she kept a collection of all the pretty ones she found.
She also loved bits of colorful glass that washed up on the beach. She used to tie string around them and hang them in her window so when the light came through it lit up the walls with colorful patterns. Kallie still does this, and there are very few windows in her house that don't aren't littered with the little light catchers.
If there was anything Kallie was especially ambitious about, it was learning how to swim. No matter who taught her or how hard she tried, she never did get the hang of it. Every day she could, she was wading out in the shallow lake by her house, trying to keep herself afloat. But every time she went out in the water up to her neck and tried to paddle back to the shore, she sunk like a rock and came back up sputtering for air. After turning 16 she just gave up and left it as something she couldn't do.

_______In her bedroom, Kallie has a 400 gallon reef aquarium filling up one of her walls, with several large triggerfish and a quite grumpy blue ribbon eel. It requires a lot of maintenance and the feeding costs certainly aren't cheap, but she would never think of dismantling it.
Besides her fish, Kallie has a cat named Lucentio(after one of the characters in the famous Shakespearean play, The Taming Of The Shrew). Lucentio is an old and cranky black Scottish Fold x Persian cross who Kallie took in as a kitten, and the two of them have never really gotten along that well, but she enjoys his company.

Employment;;

_______Kallie is a novelist. A romance novelist, to be exact. She had gone to college and gotten a Bachelor's degree in biology, but since there were no jobs she could get that would make use of her education, she decided to pursue her second dream; to become a famous author.
However, she is a bit embarrassed about what she actually writes, so she uses a pseudonym for her novels and produces a little series of children's books on the side in her actual name.

_______ Kallie lives in a seaside villa on Moloka'i island, Hawaii. It isn't exactly the prettiest thing, with it's brown-teal color scheme and untamed yard, but it works for her. It has 2 bedrooms on the main floor and a small kitchen, as well as a parlor; on the second floor there's a full bathroom and a small library converted into a lounge room; and a larger cupola at the top of the house that Kallie converted into an office. Although, any parts of the house besides the bathroom, her office and the lounge are generally covered in dust. Instead of using her own bed in her room she just sleeps in one of the beanbags up in the cupola.

Brief History: When Lotty was younger she had a fairly pleasant life. She, her mother, and her father all lived together in a beautiful home and her parents let her have anything she wanted.
The problem with her getting whatever she wants; is the fact that you end up getting spoiled. Lotty ended up very spoiled and would often whine or complain about things not being how she likes them.
Anything she said stood, because her Dad was a big business bean and could afford to spoil her fairly easily this wasn’t a problem. Having money allowed Lotty to play ‘just the way she wanted.’ With her friends ‘just the way she wanted’ with her pets ‘just the way she wanted.’ with her dolls ‘just the way she wanted’ She could sit in her tea room with her really fancy dolls and order real tea along with real cookies and cake any time she wanted. She didn’t have to know how to cook or bake, her father had everything she’d ever need she always thought to herself. Then one night when she was about ten years old, she heard something outside her room that she’d never heard before. It sounded like were yelling; maybe at a thief? She wondered. Lotty carefully got up from her bed and sneaked over to the door to open it just enough to listen. The yelling was her parents, but to her surprise they were yelling at each other. She sat helpless and quiet listening to them. [250 words]

-----------------------Teen Years-----------------------
Brief History:As Lotty first became a teen. She was still very spoiled by her father; because he felt that giving her what she wanted was love. Her mother- however, felt that it would be better to teach her to fend for herself. Though they both meant well; they didn’t quite agree on their methods of raising Lotty. One day, she returned from school to catch them fighting. Not just arguing, like normal, it sounded like the house was coming down. No sooner than Lotty came in then did she watch her father storm out ‘’what’s going on?’’ she asked.
She wouldn’t normally ask but she had to know why her dad was angry.“Mom is everything okay? – ” her mother lifted her head, sobbing from what occurred.
“Mom, what’s wrong?”
The young bean asked with concern.
“D-did I do something wrong?”
Her Mom looked up and gasped, coming to hug Lotty.
‘Oh my dear- No, there’s nothing you could have done.” Lotty was surprised but she continued as her mother held her. “What happened?”
Her mother sniffed and used a handkerchief. “Your- father is gone baby, he- he left us. “
“He- left?” Lotty was ready to join in her crying. “W-Why would he-?” She asked, stunned.
“He didn’t approve of how I raise you- so he left me-left us. I’m sorry…”
“It’s not your fault Mom.” Lotty answered, swallowing a small sob. “We’ll figure something out.” Though Lotty could be spoiled, her mother taught her to think of others before herself. [250 words]

Personality: She’s shy. Years of beans talking about her and her parents behind her back ensured that she built up a very shy, defensive personality, so she doesn’t talk much to beans unless they speak to her first.

She’s empathetic. Lotty had a lot happen to her as a younger bean, but her mother taught her that many beans have it much worse than her. So she has an incredible understanding of other beans when they tell her how they feel, while she’s also able to give great advice.

She’s fun-loving but cautious. Lotty loves to have fun and do exciting things with other beans, especially if they invite her, a lot of beans don’t like her because of her dad, so she doesn’t get invited often. However, she can sometimes be very cautious when she has been invited; she doesn’t like the idea of getting into things that are too dangerous or risky.

She’s still occasionally selfish. Though she’s learned to get over it a great deal, there are still times she finds it hard to not act spoiled like she had when she was a younger bean; if she doesn’t get her way she can sometimes get really upset and act ridiculous but after a while she gets over it and apologizes for being upset over something so silly.

She’s stronger than she looks. Lotty may be a delicate looking bean, but she’s much tougher than she looks. She could easily take a bean twice her size and pin him/her to the ground if she had to.

She’s smarter than she lets you believe: Innocent and ignorant, that’s what you think when you first meet this bean. But she is really the exact opposite of that. If you ask her a question, she’ll give a very smart reply and possibly solve your problem at the same time. This is one of the reasons she gives great advice and pulls back when a situation seems risky.

She’s handy. If you need something, Lotty will almost always have it in her pouch. She’s not a bean to go somewhere unprepared.

Story:

Search for a long lost brother, a tale begins.
It had been six years since Lotty Valentine’s parents had divorced. She still hadn’t recovered entirely from the experience of it. She loved her parents and wished that they still loved each other as much as they had when she was younger. But alas, that was a wish that she knew couldn’t come true. She thought to herself while brushing her hair out before going downstairs for breakfast.
Naturally Lotty would go into her kitchen and make herself some pancakes or something; but today, the doorbell rang before she could as much as set foot into the kitchen. “Who could that be at this hour?” Lotty muttered to herself while walking to the door to answer it. She was somewhat surprised- yet not surprised, to see her mother. She knew her mom got pretty lonely since she left home, but her unsuspecting visits were getting rather tiresome. Still, she was Lotty’s mother. So it would be better to just put up with her lonely clinginess.
“Good morning, Lotty.” Her mother greeted with tearful eyes and a hug.
Normally Lotty would ask what’s wrong at this point, but it seemed more like joy instead of sadness.
“What brings you here?” Lotty mumbled while sleepily returning her hug, “it’s pretty early in the morning.” She finished while her mother beamed at her.
“Oh I have terrific news!” her mother replied while walking into the house. “I think you’ll be very pleased, Lotty.” The younger bean yawned again and began to lead her mother to the kitchen, sleepily, waddling, not caring much about posture at the moment. “Probably another sale at that perfume shop she’s so obsessed with now…” Lotty thought to herself as she started making breakfast. “So what’s the big news, Mom?” ‘’Well,” her mother spoke softly, “I asked some beans around town; and I think I’ve found the whereabouts of your brother!” she grinned widely.
Lotty frowned in confusion and a bit of concern.
“Mama, I don’t have a brother.” She felt her mother had just about lost it. She’d never had a brother in her life- had she?
“Oh but you do!” Carla, her mother, replied. “His name is Devon.” She replied, pulling out a picture of a young bean who was standing in the picture, grinning.
“This is your brother, Lotty. He ran away from home when you were very young, so you probably don’t remember him. Now- I’m not sure he would want to talk to me. ‘But if you could go to Bean’s burrow and get him-“she started to say.
“what?!” Lotty interrupted Carla in what sounded absolutely insane. “You expect me to go to a strange town to find a brother whom I’ve never even met? Mother!”
Carla nodded. “Please Lotty. There’s a train leaving for Bean’s burrow today. Devon isn’t likely to listen to me- but- I want you to meet your brother, to get to know him.”
Lotty sighed in exasperation and finished making them breakfast. She didn’t say another word to her mother as she served breakfast.. Her mother would say something, but she knew that Lotty was thinking.
So she waited until Lotty chose to speak.
“Mother…” Lotty spoke up,“How do you get to Bean’s burrow?” she finished hesitantly, looking at her mother expectantly.
“Well-“ Carla spoke, “if you want to make it to Bean’s Burrow, you’ll need to take this ticket…” she explained. Lotty would need to stop at the fourth stop.~
Later that day, Lotty arrived in Bean’s Burrow, with a simple picture of her brother; her adventure had begun.

Name: Lilly
-Explanation: Her name may sound simple, but there is a meaning behind it! Let's just say that her mother was the clueless type. She had no idea what to name her new baby whatsoever, so she glanced around her surroundings for ideas. Her eyes took one glance at the pond nearby and she noticed something floating in the water. Carelessly leaving her egg behind, she sprinted towards the pond and poked at the flower. "What were these things called again?" she wondered batting at the lillypad. Then it hit her, "Lilly!" She cried out in glee rushing back to her nest. Wrapping her tail around the egg she whispered, "You are my Lilly." Before she drifted into slumber.

----- Early Life
Brief History: As mentioned before, her mother was not very bright. Instead of constantly guarding her egg she would often wander off leaving her helpless baby behind. Now, it wasn't that she didn't care for her egg. It was only her first time as a mother and she had no experience at all! For that reason, Lilly's egg had many cracks and scratched before she would hatch. The day she did hatch her mother was too eager to see her baby. She clawed at the shaking brown egg anticipating the sight of her child. Her wait was over rather quickly. Lilly wandered out of her shell bumping straight into her mother. Startled, the new mom leaped backwards and watched her baby wander around. "I love you, Lilly," she said walking over to her little bean. and I always will.

Lilly can remember a lot from her childhood. Her most prized memory is when her mother brought her to the lake and showed her the beautiful flower she got her name from. As for a favorite color she adores all shades of pink and green. However, her number one favorite is the color of a lilly.

----- Teen Years
Brief History: Lilly was never much of a rebel towards her mother. Instead, she always made sure to help her mother when she needed it. Due to her mom being such a clutz she rarely cooked or cleaned. Thus almost all of the house work was Lilly's responsibility. She didn't have many other friends for to being isolated in the forest, but she didn't mind much. After all the only bean she ever knew was her mother. Sometimes she would ask questions but she would rarely get a valid answer. Eventually she stopped asking at all and accepted the fact her life revolved around her mothers needs.
Relationships? Education? Best memory?: Since she was mostly alone she rarely had any interactions with male beans. It was only once that she found one lounging in a tree near her home. They talked almost every day and Lilly believed he was the one for her. However, when she was ready to confess she never found him again. Lilly was quite the nerd and wished to know almost everything. Her mother wasn't much help though, so she taught herself how to read based on the few things she got out of her mother. Lastly, her best memory was meeting that boy she thought she loved. She never truly got over him.

Personality: From her childhood she earned most of her character. She has a lot of compassion and devotion to anyone who needs her. Much like her attitude towards her ditzy mother. Another trait of hers is her optimism. Instead of looking down on her bad moments she uses them as motivation. For example, she vowed that one day she would become the best parent ever because her own mother wasn't capable of doing that. Her personality however does have some downsides. She can easily be taken advantage of and she doesn't realize it quickly. She also can become overly possessive of the ones she loves even though she tries hard not to be.
Accessories: Her favorite accessories to wear are her lillypad tail charm and her pink scarf. These items remind her of her early life and she treasures them both. Although the tail charm is her absolute favorite, for it was a gift her mom gave to her.

-Employment: At the moment she works as a nanny and a babysitter. Lilly adores all children and loves to see them smile. Thus she devoted her entire life to helping parents who needed help raising their children.
Why?: As mentioned before she strives to be a better parent then her mother was to her. She wants to gain the practice now before she is ready to raise a child of her own. She doesn't want to make any mistakes.
Favorites: Her favorite dish is undeniably cherry pie! She thinks the flavor is absolutely delicious! Especially the cherry filling! For a favorite animal Lilly loves turtles. She thinks they live a relaxed, simple life. Much like the one she wants to live.
