WHAT IS A MAKOATL?

A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.

He is based off of a skink.

When did you feel the Digital Drug?

When digital was a teenager he had a love for music and wanted to make music one day. He was invited to parties a lot and at one party he went to they had Techno music playing. He went up to the DJ and asked him how he made his Techno music. The DJ said back to him “Once you take the Digital drug you will be able to see.” He did not understand at all what the guy was saying and just went back to his friends. A few more songs later one particular song played and Digital froze. His heart was thumping fast he felt as if a rush of energy had run through him. He soon had different sounds, ideas, and images running through his head. When the song ended and changed to a Phildel song he felt empty like he needed more of that song to stay in him. He looked up and saw the DJ smirking at him and he knew what has just happened. He and just felt the Digital Drug.

How do you relax?

When I have some free time I like to go out for a walk it clears my mind and helps me figure out what to do next. I usually walk around a beach or if I feel really happy and energetic I will go to the city.

Things he will never do.

Digital will never smoke, take drugs, or have sex before he is married. He doesn’t do this because of religious or family reasons he has his own rules and he will stick to them. When he started living on his own he knew he needed some rules in his life so he made them.

why I want caspian -- well, as I said before, I am a current mako non-owner. I've always been really fascinated by this species though, and wanted one, haha. However, I've never really connected with one before. I've tried for a few shorter, quick form contests, but never been very committed. As soon as you posted Maori, though, I just adored him. His intricately gorgeous design, with its lovely swoops & curves and bright but perfectly fitting colors is incredibly captivating. I adore the intense, tribal look it gives him, and just everything about him really ... all of his markings fit him so perfectly, creating such a uniquely fantastic character ... I've been a bit obsessed with him for quite a while ...
He was your custom though, so of course I had no way of getting him, but I was happy to at least be able to admire him and watch as you collected art and see his beautiful design replicated over.
When I saw that you had put this lovely boy up for adoption, I was completely shocked. And then delighted. Here was the chance to get the amazing Mako I had fallen for! What a twist of fate! Obviously, I started working on my form, and that brings you here!
If I were to win Caspian- haha, well, first off I'd be completely shocked. And then extremely happy X3 I'd go squeal to my sister and all that good stuff, and then set out immediately to become the best Mako owner possible! From art to writing to roleplays to doodles all over my math book [because I totally haven't doodled him all over my school papers already ... nope >.>] he'd have it all! I'd pamper him and basically just love him to death. I know you've heard it all before, but I want you to really know, he would have a very very very loving home with me, were I so fortunate haha<3 It's been amazing drawing and writing about this stunner and I do wish you the best of luck in choosing him a new home. Even if it's not with me- I just hope he goes somewhere active and loving, where he'll never gather dust ♥

personality ;

what made him this way? -- Caspian's mother died when he was very little, and the memories he has of her are fleeting and far between. He doesn't really worry about this much though, while it's sad to have grown up without a mother, he doesn't really know what he's missing out on. His childhood years were spent with his enormously wealthy father, travelling the world in a cruise ship. He enjoyed a very comfortable life growing up, to be sure, and never wanted for anything. His father never really knew how to handle a child, so he gave Cas whatever he wanted, for the most part, unsure when to be strict and firm. However, he did feel very strongly that he didn't want his son to grow up to be one of the puffed and arrogant and utterly incapable creatures that he had seen in the sons of other wealthy men. So despite his spoiling of Caspian as far as his wants went, he also made sure that Cas worked hard and learned to take care of himself. Caspian's early life was a strange whirlwind of luxury and working on the docks; expensive gloves covering callused paws. This bizarre leaping back and forth between rich relaxation and hard work may seem a bit strange and disarming, but looking back, Caspian wouldn't want it any other way. His strange childhood makes up a large part of who he is today.

adventurous -- His father fostered a strong sense of adventure and wanderlust that still glows brightly inside of him today. He's always on the move, always wandering the world, searching for something new to do or discover. Although he's left his father, he still has a strong financial backing from him, and never has to worry about being tied down by a job, or kept from what he wishes to do by money issues.

curious -- He'll never let a question lie without an answer; nor a challenge go unspoken. Don't even *try* keeping secrets around him- he'll beg and beg until you'll have no choice but to tell him. He can't stand not to know something once he's got his mind set on it.

bright -- He's very carefree, without many of the worldly worries that keep others from enjoying their lives. He's got one life, and he intends to make it count! He's always optimistic, always overestimating himself and others, going above and beyond to achieve his goals.

outspoken -- In addition, Caspian is very, very outspoken. He hates the idea of being unable to say what he thinks and can't stand it when people are afraid to speak out. He often says things without even considering their impact, but he's always able to wiggle out of the consequences, somehow.

lucky -- Oh, yes, that's one last very important thing about Cas- his luck. His friends are consistently amazed by how somehow, everything just works out for Caspian. I mean, sure, the money helps, as does his general charm, but someway or another, he's nearly always able to get the best of the situation, to walk out with a cocky grin on his face.

the ocean -- Caspian's father definitely helped out his son a lot growing up, but there's one main thing that Cas would call the most treasured heirloom he ever received from him. Not a fancy trinket, nothing gold or diamond. Not money. Not his reputation or his ease in life. No, while he truly appreciates all of those sorts of things, there's one thing that truly stands out ...

"Pssst."
The quiet noise of his door opening woke Cas up, and he groaned a bit, twisting over in his bed. "What is it ... ?" he asked, sighing as he came slowly awake. He looked over at his clock and jolted up in bed. "It's 6:45 in the morning! It's the weekend!" He was irritated now, his sleep disturbed and quiet dreams chased away. His door opened further and his father stepped in, a small smile on his face. He usually didn't come see Caspian of his own accord, and the shock of seeing him right there, in his room, caused him to wake up. He peered curiously at him. "Dad ... ? Why ... ?"
His father just grinned mysteriously and told him to get dressed and meet him on the topdeck in 5 minutes sharp before leaving the room, closing the door quietly behind him. Still blurry from sleep but suddenly intrigued, Cas quickly got ready, smoothing his hair down carefully before stepping out the door. The cold morning air hit him with a shock as he walked briskly up to where his father was standing. "I still don't understand-" he began, but his father silenced him with a look. "Just follow me," he said simply, turning again and walking to the other end of the boat, down the steps, and onto the pier they were tied to. "Okay ..." Caspian said reluctantly, wanting desperately to know what was going on. His father walked out to the very end up the dock and sat down, his feet dangling over the ledge. Caspian settled down next to him, and waited. And waited. And waited. His curiosity was burning inside him, wondering why they were here, was something going to happen, why now, why here, why ...
He pressed his lips together tightly as if trying to keep the questions inside. His tail flicked back and forth tensely, and he gave a little sigh. He opened his mouth, almost ready to ask, when a tiny chime filled the air. His father looked down at his watch, which had let off the alarm, and nodded.
"Now look," he said commandingly, pointing out at the horizon. Caspian looked out, but saw nothing but darkness, a tiny hint of the waves of the sea. "But-" he began. "Keep looking."
Slowly, the sun began to rise over the horizon, glowing a delicate gold as it emerged into the early sky. Pale pinks painted the darkness, chasing away the night, and cottony clouds drifted across the new morning. Cas gasped at how beautiful it looked, speechless for once. "Now look at the sea."
As Caspian had fixated on the sky, the once-dark sea had been lit by the risen sun. Golden rays sparkled off it's cerulean surface; he could see long beams trailing down to the perfectly white sandy floor. The waves moved and danced and glittered in the light liked beautiful jewels. A slow smile spread over his face; he was unable to look away.
"This is my gift to you." His father whispered. "The ocean. It will always be here, everchanging but ever beautiful. Never turn your back on the sea ... and it will be yours, always."
Cas looked up into his dad's eyes and smiled. Then, startling no one more than himself, he wrapped him into huge hug, the only show of affection that had passed between the two in years- a thank you for this gift, this marvelous gift of the most incredible, awe-filling thing in the world. The ocean.
The sea has never been far from Caspian's thoughts since ...
