Story of how you met your Shugorei: It was Halloween, and I was out trick or treating. I had a big bag of candy, and I was going to the last house before I would go home and count my candy. As I was trudging to the house, three, very tall teenage boys surrounded me. They kept telling me to give them my candy, but I am stubborn (and a bit thickheaded) and I tried to push past them. One of them grabbed my bag of candy, and started pulling on it. I tried to pull back and leave, but I was quickly over powered by the three of them. Just as I was about to loose my grip, a catlike creature jumped out from the bushes and attacked them. I managed to get my candy back, and I started to run, but I looked back. The teenagers were swinging wildly, not even close to hitting the cat. No it's not a cat. I thought. It had a lamp attached to it, it looked like. Is this a..Shugorei? I thought. I remember hearing in history class something about spirits call Shugorei, that guarded the Egyptians, and only there owner could see them. It was said they reassembled cats, more or less, and this creature fit the bill. As the boys ran off in fright, they dropped all the candy that they had stolen from people. I looked at the Shugorei, and it was watching me, purring slightly. I shakily reached out a hand, and pet her. I thought popped into my mind, out of no where Her name is Assassinio. How did I know that? I have never heard that before, I think that it's in a different language honestly. "Assassinio?" I said, looking at her. The spirit looked up at me, and gave a little mew. I smiled, and pet her again. "Thanks for helping me, I don't know if you can talk to me, or if I am just crazy, but, if you want, you can come with me." I said, as I started picking up the candy scattered on the ground. Assassinio stood next to me the whole time, and when ever I would go to pick up a KitKat, she would run in front of me, and try to open and eat it. She fallowed me home, and has stayed with me ever since, while demanding KitKats.

Story of how you met your Shugorei:
I looked down the dark derry lane, hugging myself tightly as i shivered with cold. Slowly i begun as slow but paced walk down old path. This part of town was deserted and had been for some time, i looked back seeing my giggling friends in the distance. I shook my head and continued on i was not going to be dubbed a coward again. My footsteps echoed of the walls as i kept on track, i was almost at the end, i could see the other half of my group of friends sitting in their car, it was probably warm. I peered around myself, i had no idea why everyone was so afraid of this place, my thoughts were cut short with a loud shrill yowl. I tried to locate where is was coming from but it was no use, the yowl came again and i broke into a run, but not towards my friends but into the deserted playground. I pulled myself into one of the small tubes, that little kids would have enjoyed playing with, and curled into a ball, making myself as small as i possibly could. A shadow passed over the mouth of the tunnel, stopping beside it, it took most of my strength to suppress my squeals. Slowly it moved away, i let out a sigh of relief. As the figure moved away i saw a flick of a tail. Thats weird... I thought pulling myself out of my hiding place, i looked out and saw sitting on the top of the rusty slide the most beautiful cat! But it couldn't have been a cat, it had a large lantern attached to its neck, and flower petals connected. Orange tassels hung from golden bracelets on its ankles, ear and necklace. Its eyes shifted to me and i instantly knew she was a female. I moved slowly over to her, her eyes watching my every move. We stayed still both watching each other, then my friends started to yell my name. I turned and ran away, looking back to see her gone.
The next day i came back and so did she, but this time Tora left with me.

Death is usually very quiet, but won't stop talking once she starts. It's not your normal chatterbox stuff though. It usually has to do with what one person may or may not think of you, when the person across the street will die and how, sometimes even going on to things happening to those around her. Ignoring this… small… little detail, she can be quite easy to get along with. So long as you don't mind a menacing laugh here or there as somebody is about to cross a street, get into a car, or anything that could prove fatal; and usually does when she laughs.
