A small lump of pyrite - also known as fool's gold - resides within his pouch. It's quite a pretty rock, mainly a silvery gray one shot through with some gold. Its beauty isn't why Aeolus kept it; it's to remind him that other people make foolish mistakes too. That's Aeolus, comforting himself with others' follies and mistakes.

Aeolus keeps a small piece of blue plastic too, because blue invokes creativity and he has a habit of mumbling stories (usually adventure tales) to no one while in the shower, and he often runs out of ideas. Therefore he would always glance quickly at the plastic before stepping into the shower. He doesn't let anyone know of this funny habit, so if anyone asks about the plastic he would quickly say that he'd found it somewhere and had decided to keep it.
