Kias name:
Duncan [DUN-kin], means 'dark warrior; brown fighter'. I honestly didn't know that the name, in a way, would fit this little boy.
I mainly chose it because I love how it sounds and is listed as a 'future charmer's name' on the website I found it on.
Gender:
Male ♂
Personality:
A charming boy who whispers words as bitter sweet as chocolate into your ear the one second,
just to carelessly drop and leave you without a second thought or the slightest hint of guilt the next.
Favorite item:

This steampunk necklace might actually be the only thing Duncan treasures with his life. He usually doesn't wear it for two reasons. The simple fact that the stone's not only heart-shaped, but also pink, and the more important one. The necklace is not supposed to be worn by him, but the one he chooses as his future mate one day. In his family it's a tradition for the male to give the one he wants to spend the rest of his days with a special piece of jewellery, usually one that he himself has a strong emotional connection with. Even if they decide to 'divorce' after he has given the jewellery to his mate, their partner will always be allowed to do what they want with it. They can keep it, sell it, throw it away, whatever they desire. This is actually a very helpful tradition; most males will think twice whom they are going to give the jewellery to. They won't get it back, after all, and it hurts to lose a thing you have a deep emotional connection with. Duncan's necklace was actually hand made by his father, who had given it to his mother like the tradition wanted him to. His birth had been very hard on his mother, who had always been weak and fell ill easily. Being born in December, the temperatures were very low and his mother had already caught a light cold. Giving birth to her son weakened her even more and she died because of pneumonia. She told Duncan's father that she wanted her little son to have her necklace so she could rest assured knowing that he'd be especially careful about picking his mate, after all this piece of jewellery would be the only thing connecting him to his mother. Duncan's father immediately said yes, after all this was his beloved mate's last wish. So, this is how the boy obtained his necklace and although it'll surely take him a long time to find his perfect mate with his flirtatious and rather cold hearted personality, he knows that one day he will indeed find his other half that will be the eternal keeper of his (for him) valuable necklace.
Extra:
Night had fallen. It was a peaceful night, one of those nights you saw in movies whenever a couple spend a romantic night outside. The cicadas cried and a light breeze rustled the leaves of the trees.. The full moon and the stars all around it lit up the dark forest with pale, almost ghostly light. The whole scene appeared otherworldly, as if our world had become one with another.
Those nights caused Duncan to feel things he usually didn't feel. Emotions like the deep longing for his mother. Or the urge to apologize to the girl he had told off today. He felt vulnerable gazing up at the sky. Sometimes he wondered if his mother would love him, even though he probably had turned out different from what she had wished him to be.
He pretended that he never cared whenever he dropped someone, but that wasn't true. He was afraid to trust or fall for the wrong one... afraid that they would hurt him. He never even gave them a chance to hurt him. He always was the one to end every relationship. His father never said it, but Duncan knew that he secretly blamed him for mother's death, and it hurt.
He heard someone approach him, the look on his face changed to an unemotional one. Duncan turned his head lightly, a cocky smirk plastered on his face as he saw a girl. He recognized her, she was one of the people who had been present when he had told that other girl that he never had truly liked her.
Duncan knew that it was now time to go back to the role he was playing as he gazed at her. His role as uncaring heart breaker, the mask he wore to hide all this pain inside.
[I actually mis-read 300 words as 3000, so I had to drastically shorten this. ;;
Even though you won't judge the original version, you can find it here if you'd still like to read it. vuv;]
