Hello there!
I must say this upfront:
I have never really
thought of Kiamaras as
being interesting nor appealing.
However, this Kiamara
has stollen my heart. She
changed my perspective of
Kiamaras entirely!
With each day I try to
edit my form to perfection.
I love her like no other.
I practically draw her daily.
*Giggles* I think I'm getting
rather obsessed~
* * *
I wish everyone luck, and
I am sure that this one
will be a hard one to win
over! *Paranoid heart beating*

The reason for the name:
The name itself is of the native
american origin and bears a meaning
of "the dancer of stars." Although it has originally
set the purpose for her looks, the name
began to mean much more to me over the
course of her story development. Its meaning
became a part of her as a nature loving, charming
young lady. She possesses a lonely history
that of a star and yet she draws others near
with her soft radiating kindness.

Namid possesses charm and a lovely imagination. Often, she prefers to resort to silence and the knowledge of life. At times she is the healer of all, the serenity of others. Though there are many sides to this intricate young lady. She can be more silent than the waters and lower than any grass, and yet she can shine as bright as the stars.
This star dancer enjoys to waltz within the sweet hum of fireflies and the gentle memories of rain. Nevertheless, no one should ever witness the wrath of such thunder, simply the sweet lull of the rain and the dance of the stars.

Image

Namid enjoys rainy days. She loves the days of bright shining sun as the heavy dew gently dances with the earth. Mushroom rain. The rain inspired her dreams and remedies. Water, Rain, and Purity. Namid is guided by such element of peace and the state of calmness.
Despite Namid having many emotions and such an ample breath of life, she is often lost within her own dreams and thoughts. She is an observer of nature. The rain, the wind, the life is an open door of wander.

The little kia danced within the rain and sun, her feet gently kissing the earth upon each movement. She was one with the earth, her worries forever settled. She was different, happy and at peace.
This Kia seemed wise and rather up-beat (when she wasn't lost in her thoughts). It is a wonder to know of her past. Namid has come quite far, having understood her purpose and the meaning of life. Now she is a shaman-like being; Collecting the herbs that left her in dusts of shimmering clouds beneath her feet, dancing almost every chance she got, and listening to the whispers of wind and soft singing of streams. Her heart sang of life and freedom.
The water has been her guide and mentor. It has shaped her to become the person she is today. The water nurtured her tired soul, taught her the ways of patience and understanding.

Originally, this kiamara was shy. She was so shy, that she left the crowds and kept solely to herself. She seemed intimidated of others and many thought her mute. The kiamara had forgotten the sound of her voice. She was full of fear and darkness. She wished for company, though was too scared of being left behind.

Namid. She often reminisced of her name. Her relatives, long gone, had often spoke of it’s meaning. “The dancer of stars,” They have told her “, because you are our little star dancer.” They smiled and felt proud of the little kia. However, she wasn’t their star, nor their little dancer. She was simply Namid. Was she even worthy of such meaning?

Namid grew up without parents. There were various relatives that have taken care of her and life was never too harsh. However, as she aged, everyone seemed to drift apart. There were no tragedies, simply time. Everyone had their own lives and their own places to be. Namid was simply not a part of that. Like an old toy, she was soon forgotten.

All seemed to lose it’s colors. Namid became a loner as she wished to simply shrink away. She wasn’t needed in the world. If she was such a burden on everyone, then why was she brought up in the first place? Where was that little star dancer now? One day Namid simply could take it no longer! And so she took off. She traveled, leaving her life behind and have never looked back since.

And so she traveled. The tall grass, gently brushing against her feet, set her mind at ease. Namid has walked many miles and seen many sights. She felt her body for the first time for it’s strengths and it’s limits. She was one with the earth. She drank the morning dew and slept in the bed of grass under the soft lull of stars. Over time, Namid developed the greatest connection with water. The sheeting rain, though ruthless, had knocked her down and tested her will power. Yet, the water provided comfort. It quenched her thirst and nurtured her spirit. It was the key substance that taught her of perseverance.
Image

Despite all, there has always been that one longing that never seemed to be fully satisfied. Namid wanted to be wanted. She wanted for someone to think of her; She wanted to be taken care of. And yet she was alone in this vast, beautiful land. No one had any need for this little Kiamara; She was no one’s star.

And then, on a single peaceful evening, Namid was wandering across the white beach sands. She had traveled far within 4 months of her wild journey. By now she was accustomed to life within nature. She walked at a leisurely pace enjoying the playful wind against her fur, and the grains of sand beneath her paws that eased the tension and strain of the long day of walking.
She gazed at the scenery and took in the breath of the ocean. It was so different from what she had been accustomed to. This was her first time at the beach and it was a moment she enjoyed most; this moment was the changing point of her life. As her eyes skimmed the view for yet another time, Namid spotted unusual ripples within the water. She had noticed the peaceful rocketing of waves before, however, this movement seemed different. Someone was getting out of the water, their silhouette that of a fellow kiamara. Namid watched as the being emerged, seemingly out of nowhere. At first the other Kia seemed not to notice her. She was more petite than the average Kiamara and that of color of dark magenta. The kia emerged from the waters at a leisurely pace, her fur sleek and matted to her body from the water.

The kia noticed a curious traveler’s gaze and turned towards Namid. “You should have seen the jellyfish swarm around! Those clusters were quite magnificent.” The kia spoke up in a distinct British accent as her pale lavender eyes shone with delight. Namid opened her mouth, though closed it once again. She hadn’t spoken for nearly a year, though this kia seemed quite fascinating. She simply smiled and nodded, fearing that the Kia would lose her interest in the ragged little traveler.
Though the Kia watched the other before speaking up again. “I’m Romana Rani.” The sentence rolled of her tongue in an elegant manner; then again, everything in such an accent seemed rather elegant. The silence that followed hung in the air, as if expectant of a reply. And then a timid voice escaped the traveler’s throat, surprising even her own self. “Namid.” She uttered as the voice rung through the silence with its soft timid pang.

“Namid…” Rani spoke it aloud, testing the vowels on her tongue. As if in an approval, she smiled once again. “A beautiful name.” She commented in her silk like voice. [As Namid reminisces of the past, she recalls this to be a flirting attempt. Rani has and always will be a little flirt] Namid had spoken once again. “It means ‘star dancer’.” She hadn’t known why it mattered, nor why she wished to utter its meaning. And yet she has and seemed pleasantly surprised at Rani’s sudden interest. “Stars are beautiful. Though sometimes I wonder how it is like to be in such a vast space.” “Lonely.” Namid had thought at once. The thoughts suddenly enveloped her mind. Perhaps the name did fit her. She was a loner. Alone and forgotten as everyone seemed to drift thousands of light years away from her.

Image

“Well,” The slender kia seemed to change the subject. “If you wish to see some jellyfish you could come on along with me.” Her voice seemed to be rather buoyant with her accent as she hopped back to her feet. Namid seemed stumped. Were there really fish jellies swimming around? What were those 'jellyfish' she spoke of? Though, never the less, she trotted after the eager Kia into the ocean.
As soon as her paws hit the waters, she noted the cool and yet warm temperature. The sand brushed against her paws and fur as she pushed off the grainy earth and swam deeper with Romana.

It was a lovely feeling to have the water enclose around her once again. Namid swam in many lakes before, yet she never swam in an ocean. It was different, it felt different. The water itself was alive as it gently rocked back and forth even further off shore. It fascinated her until she heard Romana calling her. Namid snapped out of her thoughts and noticed that she has fallen way behind. Rani was a fast swimmer indeed.

And then, in the blink of an eye, the Kiamara submerged into the deep waters. Namid took a lungful of air and dove after Rani. She was anxious to see the fish jellies that this kia was boasting about. Upon opening her eyes under water, she noticed their sting. Namid was not used to the salty waters, though continued to swim deeper into the heart of the ocean. Within the water’s depth, the layers got darker and the waters colder. Namid began to feel unease settle in the pit of her stomach. Loneliness was creeping back into her heart, however she kept her gaze steady on the silhouette of the kiamara ahead. Her presence settled her mind back to ease.

A short while later, Rani has finally settled in a certain depth of the ocean. Within their reach, a cluster of jellyfish floated idly in the internal current. Their gentle blue glow seemed to fascinate Namid. They were like the gentle clusters of stars, like the butterflies of the waters; Namid had often admired them for their whispered fluttering wings and their seemingly peaceful lifestyle. Namid wished to touch the clusters, though dared not to. She wished to study the little fabric like beings. Like little cluster of stars, she has found her own galaxy. She understood that the world was one and connected. Even the smallest of stars will someday find a companion and dance their melodies of life.

Though her breath ran out. Namid hurried off to the surface, gulping for air once it was reached. Rani soon poked her head out as well, though her breath held no raggedness. She has done this a million times it seems and Namid now understood her fascination for it.

The sun has set behind the water’s horizon and only a soft glow remained, as a farewell to the earth. The two girls decided to spend their night on the beach. With a little fireplace built, the two began to talk about various things. They have avoided their personal lives and simply spoke of the stars and the ocean’s wanders. Rani has taught Namid a vast amount of information while Namid provided Rani with her share as well. The two soon fell into peaceful sleep under the blanket of stars and galaxies. Namid understood, at last, that even a little star can have it’s place within the vast galaxy of life.

    ∆7 egg yolks
    ∆1/2 cup sugar
∆1/3 cup sweet marsala, plus 2 tablespoons
∆8 ounces mascarpone, softened to room temperature
    ∆1 cup heavy cream
    ∆1 cup brewed espresso coffee
    ∆1 ounce dark chocolate
    ∆1/4 cup rum
    ∆1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract
    ∆48 ladyfingers
    ∆1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

It was a long day as the skies opened up their sorrows; the rain seemed never ending. Namid though it to be the perfect opportunity to pay her great friend a visit. As usual, Rani's kitchen was spotless. Knowing the girl for a month, Namid bid her to stay clear of it. However, today, she finally decided to take it upon herself and teach Rani the art of cooking. Rani was a quick learner and rather artistic, so Namid was positive that she would be up for that task.

Cream together egg yolks and sugar in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water. Add 1/3 cup of the marsala and continue to whisk until mixture is thick and doubled in volume. Remove from heat. Stir in the mascarpone until completely blended.

Namid started out slow. She knew of just the perfect recipe. The kind that was not only easy to make, but the one containing a great, rich reward. "Tiramisu." The word slipped off her lips like the kiss of heaven. Indeed, it was true that this particular italian cheese-cake was the most gentle of them all. "Tiramisu..." Rani had repeated, thoughtfully, as if mulling over her answer. Namid's smile was gentle and reassuring. "It shall be easy. I will help you."

Namid recited various techniques and items required for this dish. She searched through the cabinets, and, upon finding a shortage of them she ran outside into the pouring rain. Despite Rani's calls, she rushed forth towards a store. The lightning slashed as the thunder ripped through the sky and Rani reluctantly rushed after Namid. Once catching up, together they ran through the streets as rain streaked down their faces. With Rani by her side, Namid has always felt spontaneous. She laughed like a little child among the chaos that surrounded her.

They raced each other towards the store. By now they had been completely drenched. Once at the store, they had picked up various necessary ingredients. Rani had to stop Namid from buying the whole supermarket; She was a great enthusiast for cooking and, upon noticing different food items, tended to form other recipes within her mind.

In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream to soft peaks. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, to lighten.

Cold and soaked to the bone, the two finally returned back home after buying the necessary ingredients. Rani has set the ingredients onto the counter and decided that the two needed to take hot showers. She let Namid go first, providing her friend with a change of clothes and a towel.

As Rani went into the shower afterwards, Namid headed to the kitchen. She began to set out the various items and ingredients.

In a small saucepan, combine espresso, chocolate, rum, vanilla, and remaining 2 tablespoons marsala. Heat gently, and stir to dissolve the chocolate. Then, chill the mixture to cool it down, about 15 minutes.

Namid welcomed her friend as she had already began to stir the egg yokes with sugar and marsala. She ordered Rani to make some expresso as she whisked away at the mixture. It seemed to become more voluminous, reminding Namid of the foamy waves of the ocean. She smiled softly, lost within her trance.

Once Rani created her mixture, Namid had told her to combine it with several other ingredients. She helped Rani with her half as she whisked the mixture to a successful double volume. As she finished up with her half, she watched over Rani, making sure she was confident at her eminent success.

Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the chilled coffee mixture and arrange in a single layer on a 9 by 13-inch glass baking pan. Spread 1/2 the mascarpone cream evenly with a spatula on top of the dipped ladyfingers. Repeat with a second layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining mascarpone cream. Sprinkle top with cocoa powder.

Once all cooled down, Namid let Rani finish up by filling the glass baking pan and combining all three components into a single creation. "Not all things are difficult to make." Namid smiled softly with her statement as she put the mixture into the refrigerator. "I find the waiting to be most hardest." She admitted to her friend. Tiramisu had always been her guilty pleasure.

Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.

Thanks to Rani, the wait seem rather short. Namid told her stories of her past as Rani opened up to her as well. The girls were sure that with each day their friendship was getting stronger. The two bonded well and were practically like sisters. As they shared their sweet masterpiece between themselves, they have gotten ever more closer to each other. No longer did Namid doubt of losing a friend. She was home and surrounded by care from the greatest friend of all, however more importantly, Namid had taught Rani that over time she could become a master chef.
(In return, of course, Rani promised to teach Namid about art and instruments. Despite having a rather creative mind, Namid's artistic skills are quite amateur.) And thus the two benefited from their friendship.

Today was a brilliant day: the kind of day where the sun shines ever brighter and the sky is clear of any clouds. Namid hurried off towards the ocean. Rani had been busy that day and could not accompany her and yet Namid felt drawn back to the beloved place. Walking on white sand and overlooking the ocean, Namid felt happy and free. The breath of the salty air, the feeling of freedom: the things she could not convey with mere words. She hummed a cheerful tune as she almost skipped along, her body swaying with the wind and taking in the sun’s sweet rays.

She was eager to witness more life within the ocean. She wished to learn more; evermore about the creatures that resided in the other wonderous world. Indeed, it was another world. To Namid, the sea was the closest thing to the galaxies above. The fish that swam within the waters glinted; their scales in sync of their movements.

And yet Namid walked on. She passed the place where she had witnessed her dear friend. The memories swept by her like a cool breeze on a hot summer day; Pleasant, but longed for after its subtle escape. She continued walking onto new, different scenery. The white porcelain sand soon shifted into small pebbles. Yet the waves continued to rock soothingly onto the surface. It had been low tide, and the high rocks were seen further off towards the water.

And then she saw him: the brilliant of blues. She gazed at him as the stranger settled atop a rather large rock. He hasn’t seen her come and she wished not to disturb him for his mind seemed somewhere else. The kiamara was observing the ocean: the beautiful vast ocean, which he seemed a part of.
Image

Namid drew back. She was as silent as a mouse as she prayed not to be noticed by the brilliance of blue. For the first time in weeks, Namid felt utterly shy. The singing- the dancing- it all seemed lost within the erratic mind. She left the kia to his thoughts and begun the walk back to her place of residence.

For days her mind seemed ablaze. It kept coming back to the bright cloudless days, the gentle transition of pebbles and sand, and the brilliant blue. She wished to meet the kia, though felt terrified at such thoughts. His graceful gaze across the ocean’s glassy surface, what was he thinking? Who was this Kia? Bluer than the jellyfish within the sea, it seemed to be the kind of rich blue that one can simply dream of.

“Namid! Are you even listening?” Rani gave a big sigh of defeat. She had just finished some elaborate story about her love life. She had to re-tell it three times to Namid and still seemed to lose her in the very beginning. “Are you all right? I know you’re an airhead, but this is simply ludicrous.” Rani stated as a matter of fact. Namid simply laughed it off. She simply could not help herself.
She wished to meet the ocean gazer and yet, she could only dream and count the stars in hopes of ever meeting him again. In the place where pebbles and sand shift, she hoped to meet him there. And thus the star fell for the ocean and it’s magnificent blues.

I am a simple dreamer
with no talent in drawing animals.
Thus you see so many antrho art.
Hope that isn't repelling you^^;
I am Russian, so English isn't my
dominant language, and yet I adore it.
I have moved to America about 7 years ago
and began to have a rising appreciation for art.
I love reading books and drawing. Though my
writing style, as you have probably noticed,
tends to be a tad cheesy.
That mostly summarizes me perfectly well.
(Other than being a procrastinating
lazy being who is reluctant to leave the house for
anything other than art related.)

People often talk about their "dream Kia"
and most speak of them like they are the dream that
slipped through their fingers. And with those that were won,
I feel myself as a child with small glittering eyes when I
see the owners that praise them. I wish to be like that
and cherish Namid with all my heart. That is why I am
really terrified of losing the thing that has filled
me with the greatest inspiration. However, I am taking
a risk and have applied for my first Kia. I could only
say: "Come what may." And wait.

I don't want to guilt trip anyone and I wish all
of the other contestants great luck.
Let the forms decide how much each of us deserves this
little shining star because to the most she is,
indeed, the star dancer that won over our hearts.

I just wanted to let you know that you did an amazing work with her! I really like the colours you chose for her, not to mention that I like the simple fact that she reminds me of nebulas.

Unfortunately I won't have time to try out for her; because I'm going away to a convention in the end of June and I'll be in the cosplay competition during that convention... So I really need to get my cosplay done in time and thus I will only finish off the few forms I've left out there for certain adoptables in order to be able to focus on my cosplays for a while.

But again, she looks amazing, and if it were possible I would have tried out for her without a doubt!
(maybe if I'm able to finish most of my costume this weekeend I might still be able to try out for her, but I won't promise anything in case I'm not able to keep that promise)

Somewhere in the depths there is a silent sound,

It whispers, it tells stories of old, tales of eternity ride,
forgotten within this endless song.

Reason for choosing Kiamara name: Oh. My. Gosh. Just watched that movie, and it scared the poop out of me. ono This Kiamara has kind of a scary, mischievious look to her, so I thought the name would suit her well. eue This Kia is also kind of whispy and dark too, like... *shudders* mama in the movie.
