What is a Kiamara?
A Kiamara is a wolf-like creature. They have long, fluffy manes on the top of their heads, running down between their shoulders. They all have spots on their bodies- a trait in which will never be bred out of their DNA. They also have feathers- every Kiamara is given feathers when they reach the age of 2 years old. Their diet consists of fruit as well as meat- they prey on similar creatures that wolves would. Kiamara can be very shy before they get to know you. Can you win a Kiamara's heart?

Hello everyone, Vee here! I'm no good with the Oekaki program, but I wanted to design some Kiamaras anyway, so what I'm doing is coloring them in on my own art program, and having Apple recolor them for me here on the main thread.

So here's my first kiamara as a guest artist! I used this color palette and sort of just played around with the markings a bit.

I've decided to do a fun little contest. To adopt this kiamara, give her a name, show me a picture of her favorite thing, and tell me why you chose whatever it is! Her favorite thing should be an object, something tangible, but that's the only rule c: This contest will run for a few days at least; I'll put up a more definite end date later.

Ahh this was tough to judge, there were a looooot of forms I liked! I ℓυν Hαяяу Sтуℓєѕ, Naoimh, and AWOL, I really loved your forms, so I feel that you guys deserve an honorable mention at the very least since I'm not permitted to give runner-ups. You guys had some really excellent names, and very creative ideas for her favorite thing! I also liked all the character development you guys showed in your forms. But in the end, I decided to award this Kiamara to .a m a r y l l i s. as her form just really stuck out to me. Congratulations dear!! I really like the abstract idea of how a sideview mirror could be her favorite thing. ♥

Why did you choose it?

Well, I'll admit, it took me some thinking. But then it hit me-
In my eyes, this dear seems held to the earth in only the most tenuous of ways, a balloon with only a single thread left to keep it from floating away. She's got the eyes of a dreamer, and her colors whisper 'poet'. Why then, did I choose a wing mirror as her favorite thing?
Because it shows her what she's left behind.
Not in the dreary, 'look what I've lost' kind of way [although there is that, sometimes], but because it shows her the obstacles she's overcome, and the the good times she shared with those she cares about. It reminds her how to keep going, gives her strength and will. So many would rather forget what's happened to them; Delmira chooses to embrace the past, turning even the darkest memory into a fragile verse liable to float away on the wind

Why did you choose it? Applea's most favorite thing is homemade Apple Mint Tea. It reminds her of her childhood and she just absolutely loves the taste.

Why did you choose it?
I did not pick anything. Kimi has always loved conquering challenges. She is a very stubborn and determined girl. The percentage of others who can solve a Rubik's Cube is less then 6%. When she heard this, Kimi knew she had to solve one of these 3-D puzzles. She felt like it was a secret that she had to crack. When she was a pup, Kimi would have her friends mix up the cube, and Kimi would dishonestly peel off the stickers, place them back, and say she solved it. Later on, with maturity, Kimi knew that one day she would eventually have to truly solve one. Carrying it with her everywhere, Kimi soon became undetachable to this cube. It was her special pet-project. She worked on it while eating, bathing, conversing, if her hands were free, they were soon occupied by this cube-shaped item. Eventually, within time, Kimi had solved her Rubik's cube. She had never felt more accomplished in her life. She now carries it around with her everywhere. She has other cubes, some more complicated, or others with pretty colors, but none can replace the value of the very first cube she solved.

Why did you choose it?
I was instantly reminded of a bowl of guacamole when I first saw this little gal. I was going to choose that, but I thought it'd be kinda strange to just have a bowl of guacamole as her favorite thing, haha. So, I chose an avocado. As I thought more about it, I realized how many foods you could make with an avocado. Just about anything could be touched up with a bit of avocado. I decided that Piper has a great passion for food, especially making food with avocados and peppers, just like her name.
