Explanation/origin of accessory: Alara, who now had one feather, knew she needed something to match her fur. She searched for gears all over, in houses, forests, cities, workshops, everywhere. None of those 'normal' gears she found she never really liked. Until one time, in a building site, she found a rusty old screwdriver that nobody had used. Its tip was half-way broken off, and the handle had clumps missing. She loved it.

→ Lorraine is a female name of French origin; the meaning is "from Lorraine", which is a province in France.

Personality:
Lorraine is sweet, helpful, and intelligent. Her mind works like a clock. She's very intricate and she has a lot of trouble communicating with others because she doesn't know how to put her thoughts into words. Her lack of ability to communicate fluently does not affect her ability to make friends. She has lots of them, but she doesn't spend a lot of time with them. There is no one that she spends as much time with as she does with her father. The two are incredibly close and are really affectionate. Since her mother died, Lorraine's father has been the only one that can really understand where she comes from.

Some people are born into families who are hippies, hipster, or outdated and simply grow up that way because it is what they were taught when they were younger. Lorraine was just born to be steampunk. Her dad was always working on this project or another, and her mother owned a small antique and pawn shop in the center of town. As she grew up, Lorraine was very worldly and knew nearly everyone. Frequent visits to the gypsy with her mother and long visits to the health food store with her father as well as traveling for days to find the best antique shops left her very adventurous and culturally diverse. Whenever Lorraine needs to get away from it all, she confides in woodwork. She and her dad often collaborated on father-daughter projects. Lorraine would carve out the base for a cuckoo clock or shape the cup for a stopwatch and her father would gear the cogs. Some of the projects turned out so nicely that they sold in Lorraine's mother's shop, others they kept. Life was always happy when Lorraine's parents were both around.

Lorraine always loves a challenge: she's stubborn and she's not afraid to put up a good fight. From physical to mental challenges, everything looks promising and fun to Lorraine. She's always loved mind games and puzzles. Logic problems and crossword puzzles have always been some of her favorite things. Lorraine's never going to back down when someone is challenging her to a fight or even a mere game. Anything that allows her to exercise her power.

Even though she's smart and serious, Lorraine can also be loose and silly. As incredibly burdened as she was whenever she first lost her beautiful mother, she believes that everything happens for a purpose. She's allowed herself to be very open and sweet and she can just be the funniest thing! She's not very good at making jokes, but she can be very awkward and silly. Sometimes she does really goofy things. She doesn't really have a lot of common sense, so she tends to make a lot of silly mistakes. This is the root of her humor.

A heavily rusted locket with her name engraved in which she has also carved her initials.
→ Explanation/origin of accessory:
While Lorraine has always been much more of a wood carver than a tinkerer, her father was quite the one to tinker. As far back as Lorraine can remember, she always was able to find her dad in the garage, working on one project or another. He was always fixing things up for the neighbors for free, and he even built a fully functioning model airplane for his mate for their anniversary. Lorraine loved her father dearly. One day, her father found a grand old locket in a nearby antique store. He recognized the locket, and he went through old records and pictures to determine that it was, indeed, the locket of Lorraine's great, great, great, great grandmother. Her great grandfather had sold it out of the family when times had become tough and he was in need of money for it. He had no daughters, and therefore had no one to give it to. It was phenomenal that the locket had stayed in the area even after 2 more generations had passed since it was sold. He restored the clock inside and engraved Lorraine's name into it. Lastly, he installed a gear on the front - shiny, silver, and next next to the rusted bronze - one that turns slowly and constantly as the cogs in the clock work. Along with the locket, he gave Lorraine a tool to carve her initials into the locket with. On the same open wing of the locket that her father had carved her name, Lorraine carved her initials: L.H. Interestingly enough, these were also the initials of her greatx4 grandmother, Lorietta, after she had married into the family. Lorraine holds the locket to be dear and personal. Her will is that she will be buried with the locket. As much as she would love to pass it on, she wants to make sure that it will never again leave the family. In order to assure this, she herself would like it to remain with her forever.

Lorraine has always loved birds of all sorts, but parrots are her favorite kind of birds. While Lorraine was searching for a few nuts and bolts in order to attempt her latest project, a cuckoo clock based on the beauty of exotic parrots, she was lucky enough to find a grand old man with a parrot himself. Not only was she able to purchase the necessary parts for her project from the man, but she was also able to use his pet as a live reference for her sculpture that was serve as centerpiece in the cuckoo clock's top. Becoming well acquainted with the bird after hours together in the workroom, Lorraine was able to gain enough of the bird's trust to come close and snag a feather from his tail. Since that day, Lorraine has bore the feather with loads of pride. The only thing that she prides more in than her cuckoo clock and her locket is her feather itself.

I chose to draw the feather in a different way from my general style. I drew it in water for a dramatic effect, and I did some "shadowing" just for the fun of it. (:

Personality: Clockwork is a shy Kiamara, and he loves nothing more than snuggling up in his workshop, and inventing a brand new gadget. Unfortunately, though, they never seem to last more than a day. The bright side of this is that he always has something to do - whether it's making an old creation better, or conjuring up a brand new one from all the rubble scattered across his desk. He keeps himself to himself, and only has one friend; a mouse called Humphrey, who lives in a little mousehouse hidden beneath the floorboards of his workshop. Humphrey is the only thing Clockwork will get into a full conversation with, and they often discuss their hopes and dreams for the future, even though they probably wont come true.

Steampunk accessory:

Explanation/origin of accessory: This is Clockwork's prized possession; it is a 'Super Duper Time-Telling, Wind Detecting Wrist Band'! It is the only invention that Clockwork has ever got to work, and it activates only by his paw- print, or the DNA of his fur inside the glove. It took him a year to make, after trying to get it all to work in his dreams at night, and all day when he was making hopeless inventions in his workshop.
