name;
this lovely boys name is azual meaning 'blue' in spanish. i desided to go for azul because i throught it had that ring to it, and i liked the meaning. i tried to find something blue related, and i didnt want to have a name like 'blue jay' or something like that.

droping out. sory for taking up space. i would i liked to enter, but his design is a little hard for me.

"No brigadier throughout the year
So civic as the jay.
A neighbor and a warrior too,
With shrill felicity

Pursuing winds that censure us
A February day,
The brother of the universe
Was never blown away."

- "The Blue Jay" by Emily Dickinson

This Kiamara already means quite a bit to me. When I made my first fursona years ago, it had been a wolf by the name of Eclipse--a black she-wolf with blue and white speckles. I had given her the name of 'eclipse' because she had a marking that resembled that of an eclipsed sun upon her forehead. Why do such a thing? Because I have a deep passion for astronomy; though I am no astronamist, I have always had a fascination with all the things in our universe. Therefore, two things have brought me here to this very specific Kiamara:
-His colors remind me fondly of my fursona Eclipse. She had been a dear one to me though eventually I did not use her anymore because I had moved on.
-The pattern upon his coat reminded me of galaxies and stars and clouds of gas. It's mesmorizing.
Needless to say, this Kiamara has captured my heart.

.: Canopus :.
I have chosen this name quite specifically.
The name 'Canopus' is the name of a blue star inside
the Corina constellation. It is also the second brightest
star in the sky, often used for navigation or a reference
point for spacecraft. The name itself comes from an
ancient city within Egypt and I've always been a fan of
ancient Egypt with the pyramids and pharoahs and such.

Daring wrote:If someone told this Kiamara to go jump off a bridge,
he'd find a way to do it without a 100% chance of dieing.
He's a dare-devil, that much is certain. He loves doing dangerous
stunts, whatever they may be; wrestling with a squid, pouncing on
an alligator, crazy tricks, all sorts of things. Due to this, though,
Cano has a mind set of 'act now, think later'. He lives in the
now and can't waste too much time thinking of all the
possibilities and consequences of his actions. He'll leap
into action without a second thought and he'll do so bravely.

Strong-Willed wrote:Cano is the kind of Kiamara that will keep
going on even if no one believes in him or there's no one there
to support him anymore. He hates to give up--it's easy for him to
become stubborn and set in his ways--and doesn't back down no
matter the odds. If he has to climb up a hill against many
obstacles for days, then he'll do it. His will is driven by his
determination to get things done and to overcome what may
seem like impossible things.

Diplomatic wrote:Though Cano may seem sporratic and
hard-headed, he has a very strong sense of keeping peace. He dislikes
seeing others argue or bicker and will always do his best to help the two
or more parties come to some sort of agreement or compromise. He can
sometimes stick his nose in places where it ought not be but he just can't
help himself. But this certain trait also allows him an easier time of
dealing with others. Despite his occasions of recklessness, he can be
pretty level-headed and easily helps others with their problems or issues
when or if they need it.

Amiable wrote:Cano is one of the easiest Kiamaras to approach.
He's incredibly nice to those he meets so long as they don't give him a
reason not to be. He always offers smiles and kind words to complete
strangers and tends to make good friends of those strangers quickly.
He loves to be surrounded by his friends--or just generally nice
Kiamaras--and always has such a bright, cheerful personality, enough
optomism for himself and multiple others for a week, and a positive
outlook on life and the world around him. He likes to look on the nicer
side of things.

Honorable wrote:Cano is a Kiamara of his word. If he gives a
promise, he keeps it--even if it may seem silly and even if the other one
in the promise isn't completely serious about it. He does not back down
on deals he makes, either, and always sees to it that his end of the
bargain is upheld. If he says he'll do something for you, expect it to be
done in an orderly manner. If he promises to meet with you a week from
tomorrow at exactly noon, he'll be there ten minutes early.

What a glorious day it was! Canopus could not stop grinning to himself, surrounded by his family and friends, in the midst of a wonderful celebration. And it was all for him!

He had just turned the age of two years old and he was highly excited. Out of his small group of friends, Cano was the youngest and had yet to get his first feather; all of his friends already had their first feathers. He remembered how he would always be jealous of them and impatient to reach the right age for his own oppertunity. But the wait would soon be well worth it...or so he hoped, anyways. He knew well enough that he'd soon be off in search of his first feather, his parents had promised him that much. He wondered what sort of feather he would find. What color would it be? What would it look like? He had some ideas in mind, but in the end, Cano knew he couldn't be picky. He'd gladly accept whatever he could find. He'd just be happy to have his first feather!

The hours stretched on and he grew restless; as much as he loved all the company, he was itching to go. Soon he said good-bye to his friends and those that came to congratulate him upon his birthday. Not soon enough, though, he was finally just alone with his mother and father. As the last guest left, he turned to them and saw they had smiles upon their faces. He looked at them expectantly, grinned, and asked, "So...can I go now?"

The two parents exchanged a knowing look and his father nodded. "Yes. But be careful--"

Cano barely gave him time to finish and already was racing out towards the forest. It was always his favorite place to be. The sweet smells of the plants, the soft noises of other animals in the bushes, the sussuration of the wind in the leaves above his head. It was calm, relaxing, and he loved to come here to just be by himself sometimes or to have fun chasing squirrels or rabbits through the undergrowth. His eyes gazed around the welcoming forest around him as he told his mind to focus on his mission. He'd have no time for play this time around; he was outhere with a purpose and he intended to fulfill that purpose this very day. If he didn't...well, he wouldn't think negatively today. Only optimism today.

What sort of feather would he find? Should he keep the first one he would stumble upon or keep an eye for one in particular? Deep down, he had always admired the colors of his father's feathers; they reminded him of fallen redwood leaves and the colors went well with his blue coat. Would they look the same upon Cano? He smiled to himself as he thought about it, lost in his world of thought so deeply that he didn't see the root that snagged his paw and made him tumble to the ground with a yelp. He fell head-over-paws and ended up on his back in the dirt. With a groan, the Kiamara rolled onto his side and was shaking his head to clear it when something caught his eye from the side. Curiously he glanced over to see it was simply a hawk that just landed in one of the trees near him, a squirming mouse in its claw. Cano pushed himself to his feet and turned to leave but didn't get more than one step as a angry bird cry echoed to his ears and he looked back to see the hawk flying off in agitation and the mouse unharmed and currently climbing carefully down the tree. But what truly held this Kiamara's focus was a feather falling gently down from the branch and down towards the ground.

The feather was exactly what he was looking for and reminded him greatly of his fathers'. It was a soft red and brown, slightly lighter near the bottom, and looked much like a fallen redwood tree. With excitement growing in his chest, he bounded forward with a big grin on his face and snatched the feather up into his jaw. His paws were tingling with happiness and he couldn't stop his smile now as he trotted home with a very noticeable skip to his step. What a wonderful discovery! He sent a silent thanks to the mouse for having plucked out one of the bird's feathers; it was the perfect one for Cano's first feather. So lovely it was and he couldn't wait to show his parents and then wear it proudly for all the others to see.

Canopus smiled happily where he sat, perched upon one of his favorite branches in his favorite tree. The branch beneath his paws was sturdy and solid, good enough to hold his weight so long as he didn't venture too far along to the edge of it. And it was high enough to give him a wonderful view of the forest he lived within with his family. He was a few months past the mark of three years old and found himself beginning to wander off from home. He had

And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Great clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above

Oh where do we begin?
The rubble or our sins?

How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
